The veins on his forehead bulged. Grocery shopping together. Watching movies together. Their bodies close.

Those were things he had never shared with Ayla.

Troy deleted everything. He cleared the trash as well.

Then he opened WhatsApp. The first thing he saw was Draven’s pinned chat. Troy’s fingers tightened at once. When he tapped into it, the chat background was Draven’s photo. She liked him that much?

There were video call records from the past few days. That meant Ayla had been on business trips and still video calling Draven. Scrolling up, Troy saw messages about Ayla going to see Kayla with Draven.

So it was real. They had even met family.

Troy broke down.

He deleted Draven from her contacts. With a loud crash, he smashed the phone in anger. The screen shattered into a spiderweb of cracks.

“Ayla, break up with him.”

Ayla did not react at all. Her calm expression felt like sharp blades cutting Troy’s heart piece by piece. He could not stand it. He shouted. “I am not asking you. If you keep seeing Draven, do not blame me for being ruthless.”

The threat exploded in Ayla’s ears. His tone and expression were colder and more serious than at any moment before.

Troy was tall, broad, and strong. When he lost control, even an average person would fear for their life. That was the pressure he carried-violence, dominance, threat.

If Ayla were alone, she would have been scared.

Compared to pride, survival mattered more. Protecting herself and those around her

mattered more.

But after telling him she was with Draven, she had courage.

She knew exactly what it meant to strike where hurt most. “Do whatever you want. My boyfriend will protect me. You think I am afraid of you? Lunatic.”

Her face was calm, almost insane.

At those words, Troy felt an urge to die together with her. If she died, he would rather see that than let Draven win.

His face twisted. Then he laughed, hard and sharp, several times.

“Ayla, you are in my hands now.” After saying that, Troy decided not to stay in Aqualith. He would take her on his private jet immediately. He would lock her away somewhere Draven could never find. No one would take her from him.

He did not plan to explain anything to Ayla. He wanted her to feel it herself.

He grabbed Ayla’s wrist and dragged her toward the door.

Her wrist felt close to dislocating. It hurt badly. But she thought of the time. Jiang Junsheng would already be looking for her. She just needed to wait.

Do not panic.

Do not be afraid.

Even if Shawn was slow, she knew Draven would come.

Troy pushed open the door of the presidential suite and turned off the signal jammer.

The phone he had smashed on the floor started vibrating wildly. Someone was calling.

Troy called his men to give orders. His subordinate spoke in a tense voice. “Mr. Winston, Draven is here. We cannot find his exact position. You need to leave now.”

Troy stopped. Everything went silent. He stared ahead. His face froze.

The moment Ayla saw Draven, her heart thundered. Tears welled up in her eyes, instant and unstoppable.

Draven was usually calm and distant. His presence was steady and cold. He never showed panic or urgency. But now, he was breathing slightly hard.

He must have run here. He had probably left his bodyguards behind, rushing over in fear for

her.

Ayla saw him and opened her mouth, but no words came out.

The instant Draven saw her pale face and the bloodied knee, his expression did not change. But in the next second, he lunged straight at Troy.

Troy had not expected Draven to arrive so fast. He had been about to leave with Ayla and was blocked head-on. Strangely, his mood did not worsen. He had expected Draven to come. That expectation made him calm.

Draven looked composed, but Troy saw the panic in his eyes. It was almost funny. Draven would stay unmoved even if he himself were hurt. Yet for Ayla, he was in chaos.

Did Draven know Ayla was his? That fear and concern should never belong to him. What right did he have to care about Troy’s woman?

Anyone Troy claimed became off-limits. Even a hint of concern from others was an insult. And Draven had crossed far beyond that line.

Troy had known about Draven’s feelings on the day of the divorce. But wanting her did not mean he could have her. Not ever.
