Troy’s face looked ready to kill someone. “Fine. If you will not say it here, we will talk in the

room.”

Ayla was with Draven now. That meant Troy would keep her bound to his side and never let her leave again.

He had already seen her injured knee, but he did not care anymore. If breaking her wings and crushing her pride was what it took, then so be it. He would trap her for life so she could never escape his grasp. Ayla could only belong to him. Draven or anyone else had no right to take her away.

This was a luxury hotel. The presidential suite had grand double doors, tall and ornate like the gates of a palace.

Troy had booked this place in advance. It belonged to the Rong family of Aqualith, long-time rivals of the Jackmans. Their power matched each other closely.

Even if Draven and Shawn tried to find them, it would not be easy.

Troy knew Draven was watching him, but tonight he would not let Draven discover anything. At least not tonight.

As for Ayla, he had not figured out how to deal with her yet. But she dared to say she was with Draven. That alone meant he would keep her locked at his side. She was not going anywhere, and she would certainly not leave with Draven.

If Draven dared to steal what belonged to him, Troy would need to think carefully about the road ahead. For years, they had stayed out of each other’s way. But that bastard could not change his nature. He always wanted what was Troy’s and insisted on crossing him.

Troy knew his limits. Storm Group and the Storms of the Zheron were stronger overall. But Draven could not use all that power freely. And starting a war over a woman would make the Storms think Draven had lost his mind. Besides, many within the Storms were waiting for Vivian and Draven to fall.

As for the Winstons, those useless cousins were annoying but no match for him. One move was enough to make them behave.

If it came to a real fight, Troy would take losses. Draven might walk away unharmed. At worst, both sides would suffer. Troy was not afraid.

If hurting Draven once meant he had to hurt himself twice, he would still do it.

His thoughts raced wildly. He knew he was rushing, desperate.

Damn it.

How could Ayla be with Draven?

Troy’s body trembled slightly. He had never expected to be this angry. The rage came with pain, sharp and deep. For the first time, he felt pain so clearly, right in his chest. His mind was filled with one image only. Ayla and Draven together. That was the source of everything.

Ayla.

He was furious beyond control.

The emotions clogged his chest. He could not breathe them out or swallow them down. He wanted to shout, just once, to ease the pain. But he would not let himself lose control and let Ayla see him like that.

In their relationship, he had always held the upper hand. He had always led. Now Ayla had climbed above him and stabbed him hard. He could not afford to look pathetic.

At least she was still in his hands.

Ayla would not escape.

What he regretted most was Martin’s birthday. He had foolishly let Ayla leave with Draven that day. Was that when Draven took advantage, when Ayla finally let go and got together with him?

No. They had even gone grocery shopping together. Ayla had been on business trips lately. He only rushed to Aqualith after she arrived. He had been watching Draven closely. They had no time to shop.

So did it start earlier? How much earlier? When he talked to Ayla about going to Martin’s birthday together? When he first lowered his head and said he wanted to keep living as husband and wife? Was she already with Draven then?

The thought nearly drove Troy mad. If Ayla and Draven had been watching him struggle, watching him lower himself and beg, treating it all as a joke, he could not endure that humiliation.

With a loud crash, Troy slammed the door open and dragged Ayla into the suite.

He threw her onto the couch and snatched her phone from her hand.

Ayla refused to let go and pulled back.

“Let

go,” Troy snarled. He pried her fingers open one by one. Staring at her forced calm, his eyes burned with fury. “I thought you played me at Winston Estate. I did not expect it to start

so early. You watched me lower myself. You watched me beg to stay together like a joke. Did that feel good to you? Ayla, what the hell do you think I am?”

He seized her phone completely and unlocked it with her fingerprint to stop her from escaping, still gripping her wrist tightly.

Ayla tried to grab something nearby to strike him. He saw through her move and yanked her back hard.

“Do not move.”

Troy opened the photo gallery. There were more pictures. More photos of Ayla and Draven together.
