Chapter 459 Sis

Hannah had known Ayla for some time. She knew Ayla was deeply emotional at heart, and that this had to hurt badly.
“It’s just that sometimes, when I think about it, it still feels a little hard to breathe,” Ayla sighed softly.
Hannah had a child of her own. If her baby ever ended up like Ayla, just imagining it was enough to break her heart.
“All these years, I thought I’d gone numb,” Ayla continue. “Now that I’m like this… I don’t even know if it’s normal anymore.”
She didn’t finish the sentence–because Hannah’s eyes had already reddened.
Ayla looked at her, momentarily stunned.
There was so much raw pain and tenderness in Hannah’s gaze that Ayla’s chest tightened. She had been trying to stay detached, but under Hannah’s eyes, her heart still jolted with pain.
She stayed silent for two seconds, then said calmly, “Hannah, don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I only found out recently. I think it’s better to know sooner rather than later–better than being kept in the dark, not understanding anything.”
That only made Hannah feel worse. Clearly, Ayla was the one who needed comfort, yet she was the one doing the comforting.
The heavy pressure in the air was almost palpable, yet Ayla still acted as if nothing were wrong.
“Ayla,” Hannah said softly, “however you feel, however you react–it’s all normal.”
Being this calm, if anything, felt abnormal.
Ayla listened to her gentle voice and responded with a dazed, “Oh.”
Hannah looked at her, then urged the driver, “Let’s go.”
The car moved forward slowly. Before long, Fabiola’s van disappeared from sight. Hannah finally understood why Ayla had set such ambitious goals for Centurion Entertainment that day–she had been triggered. No wonder something felt off back then.
Hannah liked Ayla and couldn’t stand seeing her like this. Her heart ached as she reached out like an older sister and gently touched Ayla’s cheek. “Ayla, you’re truly exceptional. No matter what happens in the future, I’ll be with you. If you’re willing, come find me anytime. I’ll sit with you and cry it out together.”
Ayla took a deep breath, finally suppressing the sting in her chest.
“But Ms. Keaton, you are young and accomplished. Much stronger than I was at your age. I only get to be called ‘sis‘ because I’m older. If you’re calling me sis, I’ll make sure I earn it.”
Whether it was Hannah’s eyes or the way she spoke, Ayla felt the quiet strength and gentleness of an older
woman.
She answered seriously, “Okay, sis.”
Seeing that Ayla’s complexion had improved a little, Hannah felt less tightly wound, though she still kept a

There was no particular reason–she simply liked Ayland wanted to protect her, even if Ayla didn’t actually need protecting.
Hannah changed the subject. “Didn’t you say you were going to introduce me to your boyfriend?”
Ayla hadn’t forgotten. “Yes.”
“That’s pretty sudden. You didn’t tell me ahead of time.
“I ran into Melody, and it just came to mind.”
Hannah raised an eyebrow. “Melody–she’s your love rival?”
“Pretty much,” Ayla said calmly. She was possessive which it came to Draven.
Soon, Ayla placed a call to Herman.
Herman was in a senior management meeting with Draven when the call came in. He was genuinely surprised–his phone was connected to the projector, and everyone in the room could see it.
Herman instinctively glanced toward Draven and met his deep, chilling gaze head–on.
He froze on the spot.
“I’ll take this call,” Herman said quickly, disconnecting the projection and stepping outside.
“Ayla? Why are you calling me all of a sudden? I’m in a meeting–Mr. Storm saw your call just now,” Herman said, inadvertently revealing far too much.
Ayla went straight to the point. “Mr. Howell, I need to talk to you. Let’s meet in person. I’ll send you the address.”
Herman’s heart jumped.
Ayla wanted to see him alone?
With Draven’s possessiveness, how was that supposed to work if he went secretly?
Ayla added, “Bring Mr. Storm with you.”
Only then did Herman relax. “… Alright.”
Ayla sent the location. It wasn’t far from Storm Group headquarters–a place she often booked for Draven back when she was his secretary. Ironically, it would take her longer to get there than it would take them.
Herman hung up and was about to head back into the office.
Draven had already dismissed the meeting.
Once everyone left, Herman didn’t even need Draven to ask–he volunteered the information. “Ayla suddenly wants to see me. She also asked me to bring you.”
Draven frowned, his expression sharp. “Why is she looking for you?”
