Chapter 460 Introductions
Herman coaxed him. “While you were away on that business trip, do you have any idea how many things you missed?”
Will’s cars immediately perked up.
“If you want to know, com
with me,” Herman said.
Hannah followed Ayla to the destination.
Because she was worried about Ayla’s condition, her attention stayed on her the entire time. Only when the server pushed open the door to the private room, and Hannah followed her inside, did she finally start. taking in the surroundings–and properly look at who Ayla’s boyfriend was.
It was a luxury private room, softly lit, understated yet lavish.
At first glance, there was a black round table. Three men were already inside the room. Although she couldn’t immediately tell which one was Ayla’s boyfriend, her attention was instantly drawn to one of them. From an agent’s professional eye, this man was strikingly handsome–almost excessively so.
His features were too upright, too commanding. If he were an actor, his range would probably be limited, because his presence suited only those in power, Put him in a crowd, and there would be no way to hide how sharp his features and aura were.
She only looked for a second or two.
The man’s expression changed instantly. He stood up and walked straight to Ayla, his gaze focused and serious. “Your complexion isn’t right.”
After speaking, Draven looked toward Hannah, his brows drawn together.
Hannah was pinned in place by his cold, heavy gaze. Her mind blanked out for a moment. By the time she realized he was asking her what had happened, the man had already grabbed Ayla and pulled her into the private lounge inside the room.
Hannah was shaken by his presence. Her heartbeat sped up slightly.
The lounge door closed. Will and Herman stood up and greeted her. “Hello.”
Only then did Hannah regain her composure. Both men were refined and composed, the type who carried themselves with natural elegance.
The man with silver–rimmed glasses and a cultured air said, “My name is Herman Howell.”
He handed her a business card.
The slightly younger man followed. “I’m Will Newton.”
He handed her his card as well.
Hannah took them and glanced down.

Vice President, Storm Group.
Executive Assistant to the President, Storm Group.
She looked again to make sure—yes, it was Storm Grou
So, that man just now… was the CEO of Storm Group?
Hannah felt a ripple of shock. W
pulled out a chair for her and gestured for her to sit.
She snapped out of it and introduced herself smoothly, though inwardly she was nowhere near as composed as she appeared.
Herman was a polished, gentlemanly old fox with an approachable manner. He probed casually. “I’m a few years younger than you, so I’ll call you Hannah. Ayla is our friend. Tonight is just a gathering among friends -we’re just chatting. I’m only curious why Ayla suddenly asked to see me.”
Ayla hadn’t told Herman anything beforehand, so Hannah naturally didn’t say much either. She replied smoothly, “She didn’t tell me much either. I came along to keep her company.”
Herman gave no response.
Will was staring thoughtfully at the lounge door. He glanced at Herman, then at Hannah, before asking with some confusion, “So … Ayla and Mr. Storm, what exactly is going on between them?”
Hannah suddenly said, “Oh, right. Ms. Keaton said she was bringing me to meet her boyfriend. Could it be the one inside?”
Will froze, then his face filled with disbelief.
Seeing his reaction, Hannah asked, “Isn’t it?”
Will finally understood why Shawn had called him ranting like a madman a few days ago. Of course, he’d been too busy to respond. And now–Ayla and Draven were together? No, wait–did they like each other? He’d never noticed at all.
Will’s expression stiffened slightly. “Seems like it?”
Hannah raised an eyebrow. “Seems like it? You don’t know for sure?”
Herman pushed up his glasses. “Not ‘seems. It’s true.”
Will twitched the corner of his mouth. “No wonder I couldn’t tell anything was wrong with Ayla. Mr. Storm spotted it immediately.”
He circled back and asked, “Hannah … what happened to Ayla?”
In his head, Herman saluted his ‘bro.
Hannah replied, “Honestly, I was surprised, too. I didn’t notice anything off about Ayla’s complexion either.”
Will was speechless.
Herman was speechless, too.
Everyone here’s running eight hundred plays in their heads.

Inside the lounge.
Draven lifted Ayla’s chin, examining her face with a forceful yet careful gaze. “Ayla, why are you unhappy?”
Ayla hadn’t even processed what was happening before raven dragged her into the room.
The concern in his eyes made her heart skip unexpectedly.
What happened with Fabiola had put Ayla in a terrible mood, but she had never thought of telling Draven about it. It was instinct–habit.
Not until now, when she was reminded again.
Draven was not Troy.
Troy had been indifferent to her. She had grown used to saying nothing, to keeping things to herself- because that was what felt normal. That was also why Hannah’s comfort felt easy to accept.
But Draven was different.
If she didn’t say anything, he would notice. And he would worry.
That difference in the smallest details hit Ayla hard.
And every time something like this happened, the stark contrast between how Draven and Troy reacted reminded her–once again–how different they truly were.
