Chapter 477 Lecture Her
Bria narrowed her eyes. “Wait a second. Are you trying to lecture me?”
Finisher
Ayla answered, “That’s not what this is. I’m not here to lecture you. I’m here as Kaleb’s sister. I’m here to protect him. Maybe nobody else sees how much he’s been holding back, but I do. And if I see it, I can’t ignore it. I have to think about how he feels. If I just let him bow his head and say sorry, then what’s the point of me even being here?”
Bria went from pissed to stunned.
Ayla looked her in the eye. “Why do you look so surprised? Don’t you have anyone you’d stand up for?”
Bria usually tuned Ayla out. But today was different. Ayla had said too much. It hit too deep. Bria didn’t know what to say. She wasn’t mad anymore. She just … stalled.
Her eyes darted toward Troy. For a second, she wanted to yell, Troy, you really screwed up walking away from her.
Ayla mistook her silence. “So? Are we on the same page now?”
Bria took a deep breath. The conversation had shifted back to her, and she hated it. She didn’t like the pressure. But she wasn’t dumb. Ayla wasn’t falling for her usual stunts.
Ayla was scary in her own way. She never yelled. Never cracked. Her calm tone and steady logic made it almost impossible to shake her.
Bria had run out of tricks. There was nothing left to spin. If she wanted what she came for, she had to give
in
She hated that. She hated not being in control.
But she didn’t have a choice.
“Fine! I’ll go apologize to Kaleb!” Bria glared. “But I’m telling you, once I meet Sol face–to–face, I’m done with you and your brother!”
Ayla gave her a calm, almost bored smile. “Deal”
They walked back together, one step at a time. Bria kept sneaking glances at Ayla
This was the first time Bria saw how solid Ayla really was. She wasn’t someone you could bemt. Not a weakling Not some easy mark. But what pissed Bria off even more was how soft Ayla used to be with Troy No boundaries No walls.
And now? Bria wasn’t even the emotional type, but is all felt off Ayla looked the same Spoke the same But she wasn’t the same woman Not anymore. Bria used to laugh at her. She never would’ve taken this kind of demand seriously. But here she was going along with it
She hadn’t changed because she grew up. She changed because Ayla did. She was still the same self–centered and arrogant girl.
Bria didn’t get far before stopping in front of Kaleb. She scanned him from head to toe.

This boy looked like a dog with a bite. Even now, face–to–face, his eyes still screamed defiance. He looked at her like she was beneath him. One stare from him should’ve been enough to get slapped. Anyone else would be on their knees by now, begging her for forgiveness.
He was a real piece of work.
But when she opened her mouth, the words didn’t match what she was thinking at all. “Kaleb, I’m sorry. I messed up. I shouldn’t have tried to have you jump. I treated you like trash. I thought I could walk all over you, but I went too far. I acted like a bully. It was my fault. I got hurt, and honestly, I probably deserved it. Kaleb, please forgive me. Alright?”
She said it sweet and soft, like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. But there wasn’t a single drop of real regret behind her eyes. Her grandpa and older brother were still watching. She knew how to work a crowd. She’d played the innocent role so many times, it barely counted as acting anymore. It didn’t bother her. She had no shame. It was just strategy.
She’d done her part. Now it was Kaleb’s turn. And he was supposed to wag his tail and thank her. That was how this worked.
She was waiting for nature to take its course.
Of course, she was already acting differently from the haughty woman from moments ago.
Her followers stood there in disbelief. One muttered something under his breath. Another gave her a thumbs–up. They thought she was a total savage for being able to flip the script so fast.
Renee, though? She didn’t react at all. Since the day she met Ayla, she had never seen Bria win once. Bria thought faking an injury would finally turn the tide. But nope. Ayla crushed her in record time. Of course she did. This was Ayla. She cleaned up Bria like it was nothing.
Troy didn’t say a word. But his stare never left Ayla. It got deeper.
