Divorce and Freedom No More Homemaker for Him novel Chapter 495

Chapter 495 Gift

To her surprise, Draven didn’t play along at all. He actually resisted.

So Ayla had to move closer and do the tie for him herself.

She clicked her tongue inwardly.

He was ridiculously goodlooking, broadshouldered, and carried just enough dominance to be attractive without crossing the line. He gave off strong masculine vibes that made him hard to ignore. And he probably had no idea how tempting he looked.

Ayla didn’t mind stepping in closer at all. She was basically straddling his waist.

Meanwhile, Draven’s thoughts were already running wild because of how close she was. His mind drifted. What if she actually sat down? He didn’t want to lose control, and he didn’t want Ayla thinking he was some beast who reacted at the slightest provocation. Still, his body wasn’t listening. If there were no reaction at all, he’d probably need a urologist.

Draven could only turn his head, swallow, and endure it.

Ayla quickly finished tying the tie she’d carefully chosen. She didn’t button the top button he had undone, though. It looked a little improper, but on Draven, it was insanely attractive.

Satisfied, she was about to ask what he thought when she noticed his head was turned away. What was that supposed to mean?

Annoyed now, she grabbed his chin and forced him to look at her. Pulling on the end of the tie, one hand braced on his shoulder, she looked down at him with clear dominance. Why won’t you look at me? Don’t you like my gift?

Draven had no choice but to face her. With Ayla leaning over him, the loose neckline of her pajamas had fallen open, and he saw everything.

Ever since the last time he’d tasted that soft sweetness, their closeness had already crossed another line.

After showering at home, Ayla never wore a bra.

The sight hit him hard.

He immediately looked away.

Her questioning look was sharp and commanding. As the oldersister type, she’d probably used that stare on Kaleb plenty of times when they were younger.

Draven was nearly five years older than her. Everything she did felt cute to him, but the pressure she carried wasn’t cute at all.

That contradiction only made her more tempting.

I like it.”

Ayla didn’t believe him. If you like it, I already helped you put it on. So why won’t you look at me? What’s going on?

There are other reasons. Not easy to explain.

That makes zero sense. Are you speaking in riddles?

She hadn’t expected that answer at all. What kind of excuse was that?

If I explain it now, it wouldn’t be good for either of us.

His tone even sounded like he was gently coaxing her.

But he clearly had no intention of explaining.

Annoyed, Ayla yanked the tie harder.

It tightened enough to make breathing slightly difficult.

But Draven was a grown man. He wasn’t about to beg or lose control over something like that. He simply met her gaze, calm and steady, as if no matter what she did, he could wait it out.

It wasn’t about attitude or dominance. It was a pure physical difference.

Anything she did was just harmless teasing. If he moved, it would be like a mountain crashing down on her.

Ayla remembered how her hands had once ached. Nothing ever matched up. She was small, and he was oversized. Draven’s solid, muscular frame made even slightly built men feel intimidated next to him, let alone her. Even standing still, his presence pressed down hard. Up close, there was a raw aggression to him.

No matter how much she stirred things up, he stayed unshaken.

It was infuriating.

So do you actually like it or not?Ayla tugged the tie again.

If he didn’t like it, she’d stop giving him gifts.

Well, not completely. Just a lot fewer.

Because she did want to give him things.

Hearing that, Draven withdrew the arm resting on the couch and placed his hand on Ayla’s arm.

Her skin was smooth. He instinctively stroked it. That kind of touch belonged only between lovers.
