Draven let out a soft laugh. “I’m innocent.”

“How are you innocent?” Ayla tilted her chin toward the bathroom. She used to love that bathtub. Now she couldn’t even look at it the same way.

Draven acted shameless about it. “My fault,” he admitted, then sighed with a smile. “But I couldn’t help it. What was I supposed to do?”

“Can’t you see I’m exhausted?”

“You’re unbelievable.” Ayla laughed with him. Wrapped in the blanket, she felt different. Maybe because they had slept together. When she looked into his eyes, warmth filled her chest. She felt close to him. Safe with him. She spoke softly, “Hold me.”

The curve of Draven’s smile never faded. “Drink some water first.”

Ayla glanced at the glass. “What? You defy me now?”

She said that but still opened her mouth.

Draven held the glass himself and fed it to her.

Honey water. Sweet and warm. Her dry throat felt better right away.

After she finished, he set the glass down. Then he wrapped the blanket around her and pulled her fully into his arms, pressing her gently into the bed. He stared at her without blinking. “I’ll hold you,” he said quietly. “Not just once. I’ll hold you a lot.”

Ayla felt sweetness bloom in her chest. She loved how tightly he held her. Being wrapped in his strength made her feel safe. Her eyes traced his handsome brows and eyes. “How did you wake up so early? You’re already dressed. And you look really handsome today.”

Draven laid her back and kissed slowly from her lips downward. “If I didn’t get up early and stayed in bed with you, I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”

“You used to have good self–control,” Ayla said, dodging his kiss.

Draven kissed her all over, messy and needy. “Not anymore.”

Ayla saw the blanket already pushed open. His kisses were moving somewhere dangerous. Her fingers tingled. She quickly grabbed his hair. “You’re dressed now. Still can’t control yourself?

Jed had been taken away by Troy. After Draven punched him, he actually felt tucky it hash’t been worse.

He always knew Draven and Troy didn’t get along. But he never knew what really happened between the brothers. Max understood Troy better than he ever could.
