Chapter 577 Get Close to Draven
In the future, Bria could still use the excuse of being nice to her sister–in–law to stay close to Ayla. But she wasn’t very close to Draven yet. If she acted too friendly, it would feel strange. So she knew she needed to spend more time around Draven first.
No matter what, this was all for Ayla. Bria had to step forward.
If Draven kept being this kind to her, she wouldn’t be so scared anymore.
After all… Draven was her real brother. When they were kids, he had even held her before. Bria still remembered that. No matter what, Draven wasn’t some outsider. She used to be afraid of him, but she’d never truly treated him like a brother. Now that she finally accepted that Draven was her brother, her feelings changed. Once her mindset changed, most of the fear faded away.
Later, with Ayla reminding her, Bria started talking about Shirley.
After watching Shirley’s acting clips and listening to what she’d been through, Ayla became very interested. She set up a meeting at the company.
Bria had prepared everything ahead of time. With Shirley as her “tool,” there was no way Ayla wouldn’t be moved.
Everything went exactly as planned.
By the time Bria arrived, it was already five o’clock. After talking for a while, they all went to eat dinner together.
At the dinner table, Draven peeled shrimp for both Ayla and Bria.
Bria looked like she had discovered a whole new world. She completely relaxed around Draven and said, “Wow, Draven, you’re such a sweet guy! No wonder Ayla likes you!”
Draven looked at her and said, “I thought you said I was just a smooth–talking jerk?”
Bria almost spit out her food. She quickly covered her mouth, then smiled in a pleasing, apologetic way. “I misunderstood you. I’m sorry.”
Draven barely talked at all. There was no way he was a smooth talker.
“I want one more shrimp. Can you peel it for me?” Bria was very good at reading the mood. Once she felt there was no danger, she relaxed right away. Then she added shyly, “Thanks, Draven.”
Draven quietly took on the role of brother without complaint.
Ayla knew she couldn’t suddenly change how she felt about Bria overnight.
But since Draven liked things this way, Ayla was willing to adjust a little.
She also noticed that Bria was very talkative and bounced back fast with just a bit of kindness. She actually got along pretty well with Draven. On top of that, they both liked exciting things. So Ayla decided to change her attitude toward Bria. As for the old conflicts between them, she’d deal with those slowly.

Chapter 577 Get Close to Draven
Finished
Bria left reluctantly. Once she was in the car, she couldn’t help but call Troy.
She hadn’t contacted him for a while.
She didn’t know what he was doing lately.
The call took a long time to connect. As soon as it did, Bria said, “Troy, where are you? I want to see you!”
Troy’s tired voice came from the other end. “No need. I’m overseas. I can’t come back for now.”
“When did you go abroad? Why didn’t you tell me?” Bria asked.
Troy replied, “Not long ago.”
In Bria’s heart, Troy could be moody, but he was the one who held the family together. There was nothing he couldn’t handle. No matter what trouble she got into, he would stand in front of it for her. As long as he was there, Bria wasn’t afraid of anything.
So Bria never worried about Troy’s business. But today, she spoke without thinking. “I went to see Ayla today. She’s with Draven.”
After saying that, Bria sucked in a sharp breath, worried Troy would get mad at her.
Instead, there was a few seconds of silence. Then he said calmly, “I know.”
“Aren’t you jealous?” she asked.
This kind of thing is really hard to accept, right?
Troy gave a cold laugh. “What can I change? I can only change the things that are within my control.”
Bria didn’t understand what he meant, but his words were full of sarcasm.
Maybe Troy really doesn’t care anymore?
Bria said, “But that doesn’t sound like you…”
“Take care of yourself. Don’t worry about my business,” Troy cut her off.
‘Okay, I get it!”
The call was about to end.
Bria knew that if she called again, Troy might not answer. She quickly shouted, “Wait!”
“What is it?”
“Troy… I mean, can I…”
“Speak clearly.”
“Is it okay if I spend more time around Draven?”
