Divorce and Freedom: No More Homemaker for Him
Chapter 718 Like Before
Ayla felt like her whole body had gone soft from Draven’s kisses.
Finished
Draven simply grabbed her hand and laced their fingers together, pinning their joined hands above her head. His other arm wrapped around her waist as he kissed her freely, the heat between them rising fast.
To keep from crushing her beneath him, he rolled over. Ayla ended up lying on top of him.
Their interlocked hands changed position. Draven pressed one hand against the back of her head so she couldn’t pull away.
The arm around her waist slid beneath the hem of her clothes, his hand wandering across her back before drifting to her side.
Ayla felt like she’d been struck by lightning. She snapped back to her senses and grabbed his hand.
Draven stopped immediately.
They stared at each other.
Both of them were breathing hard and fast.
Draven’s eyes were full of desire, like a beast that had just awakened. From yesterday until today, the gentle way he had taken care of her had only been a disguise. In truth, he looked like someone who could tear her apart without effort, dangerous in every way.
Ayla’s heart pounded wildly. She didn’t dare keep looking at him. She turned her gaze away and tried to climb off him.
But Draven wouldn’t allow it. He pulled her tighter into his arms.
Ayla ended up lying against his chest. The airtight embrace pressed them together, and the heat of his body seemed to seep into her skin.
“I want to hold you like this forever.”
Ayla tilted her head and rested it against his neck. After everything that had just happened, she really couldn’t accuse him of anything now.
Her mind was muddled again.
Was that really an accident just now?
Thinking about it, she couldn’t help tugging at Draven’s arm.
It was her way of venting a little frustration.
Draven let her tug at him. The gentleness in his eyes only deepened. Ayla had lost weight, but she was still soft and warm, and she smelled nice. Holding her like this made his heart feel like it might melt. It was comfortable, but he did want to do more with her. Right now, though, that was impossible.

Finished
His Adam’s apple moved as he swallowed, forcing down the restless heat in his body. He stayed like that with Ayla for a while. Then he kissed her check and her hair, hugged her, and sat up while holding her.
Lowering his gaze, he looked at her gently. “So… are you still going to refuse to let me help you change clothes?”
Ayla glared at him and complained, “If I refuse now, wouldn’t that be a little too dramatic?”
Draven knew his shamelessness had left Ayla with no way to fight back. His low, deep voice let out a quiet laugh. Being shameless had clearly worked in his favor. It turned out men learned bad habits very quickly.
Draven lifted Ayla by the waist and made her sit in front of him.
His chest pressed against her back as he hugged her from behind. His cheek rested against hers, completely unwilling to let go. “Your account from last night is settled, but I still have two accounts left unpaid. Once you’re healthy again, I definitely won’t settle them all at once. So I’m apologizing in advance. For example, taking care of your daily needs. Ayla, don’t refuse me for the next few days,” he said.
While he spoke, his lips brushed her cheek, whether by accident or not.
Her face instantly heated up. “Watch it,” she said.
Draven simply kissed her cheek. “Okay?”
“No.”
“I remember you always liked it when I held you tight.”
“That was before.”
“You just finished kissing me. Why didn’t you push me away from this hug?”
“Draven, you kissed me until I didn’t have any strength left!”
“Oh… my bad. Let me take care of you. Like I used to. I don’t know how to keep my distance from you. The only thing I know how to do is take care of you the way I did before,” Draven said.
He only lost his self–control when he was with Ayla.
And he could tell that Ayla couldn’t reject him.
That was exactly why he could push his luck. If Ayla truly didn’t like him, he would feel it. Then he would change the way he interacted with her.
Draven wanted to be close to Ayla. He wanted physical closeness. He wanted to awaken the past they once shared.
His shameless behavior toward her had a purpose. He wanted to win her back.
Ayla was completely exasperated with him. These crooked arguments didn’t match a man who usually carried himself with such refined restraint. Yet somehow, coming from someone with his looks, it didn’t sound vile at all. His face made it easy to disguise.
