Divorce and Freedom No More Homemaker for Him novel Chapter 812

Chapter 812 Not the Same

The moment her wrists were untied, she could easily grab him and touch him again like before.

Kaleb didn’t want even the slightest contact with her, which was why he suggested calling her friends instead.

This kind of rejection was completely instinctive, physical, and Bria couldn’t accept it. A sharp pain stabbed through her chest, stronger than anything she’d felt before, so intense that it was almost unbearable.

Bria had never hated Kaleb this much. All her pain came from him. He really was a bastard. But she was even worse, because despite how unbearable he was, she was still into him, still couldn’t stop wanting to see him.

She forced down the ache in her chest and let out a cold laugh that didn’t lose an ounce of defiance. Even though she felt awful, her attitude stayed aggressive. That’s great. You hate me this much now, huh? Then every time I get close to you, you must feel sick, right? Good. That means I can make you suffer too. Don’t worry, Mr. Keaton. I’ll definitely show up in front of you when you least expect it. Every single time, I’ll make sure you feel just as miserable.

Kaleb’s expression turn icy.

He didn’t bother saying another word. He already had Andrew’s contact. He could just leave.

But his eyes drifted, unintentionally, to a small bag on the coffee table.

Inside were some bruise and sprain medications.

Bria followed his gaze.

It was the medicine he’d bought for her when he took her to the hospital after she twisted her ankle.

That shared memory surfaced at the same time in both their minds.

The tension froze in place. It didn’t soften; it just stopped.

Two seconds later.

Kaleb turned and walked out without hesitation. The door slammed shut behind him with a loud bang, like a slap across Bria’s face.

Bria stared at the unused medicine and the empty room, and suddenly, a surge of emotion rushed up from deep inside her, without warning.

In the end, before Andrew even arrived, Bria had already left. A belt couldn’t keep her there.

When Kaleb had taken her away from his house, her bodyguard had followed at a distance. Since Bria hadn’t reacted, the bodyguard hadn’t stepped in.

After being tied up by Kaleb, she didn’t have the energy to keep fighting him anyway.

Partly because she was physically exhausted, and partly because her mood had completely crashed.

Kaleb’s rejection was obvious. She couldn’t lie to herself about that.

After returning from Aqualith, she waited a day before going to find him. Normally, she would’ve shown up the moment she got off the plane, always satisfying her impulses immediately. But this time, she hesitated. Deep down, she was afraid it would all be pointless.

She held back for a day, spiraling in her own thoughts. For the first time, Bria understood how exhausting it was to overthink. Her mind was filled with him. Nothing she considered felt right. She didn’t know what to do, and the frustration kept her from even sleeping.

Thankfully, she was shameless enough. If she wanted to see Kaleb, she just went.

And when she finally saw him, she realized that during all that overthinking, she’d been thinking about him the entire time.

Every time she figured out her own feelings, she couldn’t help but think humans were ridiculous. Not fully evolved, still controlled by instincts, falling for someone and becoming someone else entirely, emotions constantly shifting because of another person. It was dangerous. How could she let herself take such a loss?

Before leaving, her mood had sunk to rock bottom. She smashed several glass items in her house, leaving the floor a mess. The medicine Kaleb bought her was thrown straight into the trash before she slammed the door and walked out.

She had her driver take her to her villa in the suburbs, then got into a sports car and spent the entire night racing on her private track, lap after lap.

She loved the thrill of high speed. That hadn’t changed all these years.

Bria had always loved racing. Her family thought it was too dangerous and wouldn’t let her compete, so she secretly found a coach and trained. Her driving was impressive.

Back then, Renee had posted a video of her driving without showing her face, and it went viral. Everyone who saw it was calling her Hubby.
