Chapter 820 They Meet Again

Finished

Kaleb stared at the footage for a long, long time. When the staff called out to him, he didn’t even hear it.

Then he turned and left without a word, walking fast, like he was chasing after someone.

The employee was completely confused. “What’s with that guy? Isn’t he going after the thief anymore?”

Of course, Kaleb wasn’t going after any thief. He was going to find Bria to get answers from her. He needed to know what she was trying to do!

He couldn’t wait any longer. He didn’t want to keep waiting.

Kaleb called Andrew directly and asked where Bria was. Andrew felt like he’d seen a ghost. Kaleb actually reached out to me first?

Andrew was abroad handling family business. All he knew was that Bria was staying at a villa in the

suburbs.

Once Kaleb got the address, he drove straight there.

Andrew tried to inform Bria about it, but her phone wouldn’t go through.

What’s going on? These past two months, Bria has been posting all that calm, detached nonsense in the group chat. Has she seriously gone off to become a nun or something?

When Kaleb arrived at Bria’s villa, all he saw was flames. A crowd of people surrounded a sports car that had caught fire, shouting anxiously.

A terrible feeling surged in his chest. When he rushed closer, he realized Bria had run into the car.

She shoved away the staff trying to and charged straight into the blazing car again.

Damn it!

What is she doing?

He hadn’t even gotten close when the intense heat hit him. Without thinking. Kaleb pushed through the crowd and ran straight toward the car.

The moment he reached it, someone threw themselves into his arms.

Kaleb knew it was Bria. Without hesitation, he rolled to the side with her. Once he steadied himself, he pulled back to check her condition. Some of her hair had been singed, her face was blackened by smoke. and her hands were badly burned, red and blistering. Kaleb immediately called for help.

The villa staff reacted quickly. Bria was given the best possible treatment soon. Her hands had been

burned, covered in blisters, but fortunately, the affected area wasn’t too large. After examining her, the doctor said that as long as she took care during recovery, there wouldn’t be any scarring.

Kaleb’s expression was grim. His lips pressed tight as he watched the medical staff move around busily, his gaze heavy.

He knew Bria wasn’t someone who feared pain, but that didn’t mean she liked it. In the past, if someone so much as bumped into her, she’d make them pay for it. And today she ran straight into a fire.

What if the car had exploded?

She could’ve died.

The thought of Juliana flashed through his mind, and his heart clenched painfully. He couldn’t stay there any longer. He turned and walked out.

Bria watched his retreating figure in silence. The moment she’d escaped the car and thrown herself into his arms, she’d known he was there.

Everything had been too chaotic. She hadn’t had time to say anything to him.

Now that she was safe, she could tell Kaleb was in a bad mood. She figured she’d give him time to cool off. Even if he left the villa, she still had a reason to find him later and ask why he’d suddenly shown up. Just having an excuse for another meeting was enough for her.

After the doctors and staff left, Bria learned Kaleb was still around. She had her bodyguard call him over.

When Kaleb appeared in front of her, Bria’s mind filled with guesses. What happened? Why did he suddenly come looking for me at the villa?

After thinking it over and over, she finally noticed Andrew had called her. She’d missed it. He’d sent a message saying Kaleb had asked him for her address.

Bria was sure she hadn’t read it wrong. She was genuinely shocked.

Kaleb really went out of his way to find me? That’s like the sun rising in the west.

They hadn’t seen each other for two months. She had no idea what he’d been doing, but she was certain of one thing: he hadn’t shown the slightest sign of wanting to fix things between them.

Bria couldn’t figure Kaleb out. Lost in her thoughts, she waited until he finally showed up.
