Chapter 594 Moving
“Ayla, hearing you say that puts my mind at ease. I’ll listen to whatever you decide.”
But can we not break up? Draven never said those words in the end.

All he could do was keep whispering that he loved her by her ear, just like how Ayla had kept saying she loved him during their wild night in bed.
Right now, it was a dead end. It wasn’t something that could be solved just because Draven didn’t mind. He couldn’t truly pretend nothing had happened and stay by Ayla’s side.
Reality was like a cruel god. It couldn’t see a believer’s devotion or hear their prayers. It never changed its course for anyone’s will.
“How many months until the babies are born?” Draven asked.
“Not quite eight months yet, so about two to three more months.”
A shadow fell over Draven’s eyes. “Okay. I understand.”
When Draven let go of Ayla, he suddenly saw how broken she looked. Seeing the red rims of her eyes made his heart ache.
Ever since Ayla had been with him, Draven had never wanted her to cry. His hands were clearly shaking as he gently wiped her tears, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t wipe them all away.
“Eat something first. You were up all night, and you’ve cried so much…”
His voice, which he had just steadied, turned hoarse again. Panic finally crept into it. “Ayla, can you stop crying? If you keep crying like this I really won’t be able to leave you alone.”
It wasn’t that he couldn’t rest easy. He wanted nothing more than to stay by her side and only leave after she was truly happy again.
“Draven, you should go.” Ayla felt like her mouth and her mind were completely disconnected. What she said was the opposite of what she wanted. “The better you are to me, the harder it is to let go. And the more pain we’ll both feel.”
“Be good. Eat first.” Draven was even more reluctant to leave her than she was to let him go. With her current condition, there was no way he could leave her alone.
Draven soon brought over a bowl of hot congee He sat Ayla on his lap and fed her himself.
After she finished eating, Ayla told him, “I’ll be going on a business trip for a week.”

Draven was silent for a few seconds, then reminded her softly, “You must take good care of yourself. Your eyes have been tired lately. Remember to use your eye drops. If your shoulders feel sore, rest for a while…”
Ayla pressed her lips to his, stopping him mid-sentence. Every night before bed, she would lie down properly. Draven knew her eyes were sensitive, and she hated using eye drops, but he would somehow pull out a bottle, coax her to open her eyes, and quickly drop them in.
He would also have her lie on her stomach and massage her shoulders. Usually, as he pressed and rubbed, his gentle kisses would follow.
She would remember all of this. She would remember it forever.
After Ayla left on her trip, Draven sat alone on the couch. From morning until night, he didn’t move an inch. When he finally stood up, a sharp pain struck his head. He bent over and clutched his head, his upper body trembling lightly.
The shaking lasted a long time. He gritted his teeth, clenched his fists, and forced himself to stand. His eyes were already soaked with tears, red all over.
Draven took out his phone and called Herman. In a calm voice, he gave a few instructions.
Herman was surprised. “Moving?”
Draven owned many properties, so moving wasn’t strange. That was what Herman thought at first. But getting this call in the middle of the night felt wrong.
It wasn’t until Draven said he was moving out of Ayla’s place that Herman realized how serious this was.
Herman brought four people with him. The moment they entered, they froze.
The lights were off. Only a little neon light from outside the windows came in. Draven sat alone on the couch, as still as stone, blending into the darkness.
Herman turned on the lights. Draven found them too bright and closed his eyes, raising a hand to shield them.
Two buttons of his black shirt were undone, and the fabric was wrinkled in several places. When he lowered his hand, light stubble had already appeared around his mouth.
At a glance, Draven didn’t look much different from usual. But the air around him was heavy and suffocating, filled with a rare sense of exhaustion and defeat.
