But Ayla never formally said the words “break up to Draven, nor did she say goodbye. For them, that would have been far too cruel.
Halle understood everything now, so she didn’t try to persuade her anymore. She was just heartbroken for them. They had finally found each other and shared such a sweet love, yet it didn’t end well and instead reached a point where breaking up was unavoidable.
“Come here,” Halle said softly as she hugged Ayla hoping to give her a little warmth. Then she started cursing Troy nonstop, blaming him for being irresponsible and reckless, for not caring about the two unborn lives at all. The more she cursed, the angrier she became, until she had used up every ugly word she knew.
In truth, Ayla also wanted to move on as soon as possible. But forgetting Draven was far harder than no longer loving Troy.
The art exhibition called Sunset Inferno brought together works by many well-known modern artists. The selected pieces all focused on emotional release, perfectly fitting the taste of young people today. With pressure from life and work, everyone felt like they might
go crazy.
The value of art lies in helping people find emotional connection and giving their eyes à sense of beauty. After basic needs are met, humans naturally need art.
This exhibition was very popular. Many time slots required reservations, and only on weekends was it fully open to the public.
Halle brought Ayla during a limited-entry time slot to help her relax. The exhibition space covered several thousand square feet, and there were about 100 people inside. They were spread out, so it didn’t feel crowded.
In the crowd, Bria was walking around with her new follower, Shirley. Andrew and Renee were there too. It was just a few friends coming out for a casual visit.
Shirley was the first to notice Ayla. “I see Ms. Keaton.”
Bria immediately looked over. Andrew and Renee also spotted Ayla.
After glancing at her a few times, Bria frowned. She felt that Ayla was in a bad mood.
Renee and Shirley sensed it too. Only Andrew didn’t think so. “I don’t think she looks upset. She just has no expression. Her presence feels even stronger than last time. She clearly looks like someone important.”

Chapter 599 Art Exhibition
Bria wondered whether she should go over and say hello.
If Ayla really was in a bad mood, Bria didn’t want to bother her.

Just then, another group of people walked toward Ayla first. They were all strangers to Bria.
Bria had Renee, her “intelligence chief,” take action. “That person looks way too bold. Help me check who she is.”
Renee’s hacking skills had improved a lot. Of course, they were still nowhere near the level of the hacker who once broke into Bria’s phone-a hacker whose identity remains unknown to this day, and who may or may not have been Ayl.
Renee quickly pulled up the information. “Her name is Melody Howell.
“She’s a rising artist known for her strong personality. Her work is famous for bold use of color. One painting can sell for a million dollars
Renee tapped her phone again. “Most of that is hype. She has a professional PR team behind her, plus some shady operations like money laundering, helping certain famous people move assets. Her real artistic skill isn’t as great as people claim.”
After getting to know Bria, Shirley’s worldview had expanded a lot. What shocked her most was realizing that with powerful money behind them, even someone useless could gain fame and fortune. It felt like stepping into a whole new world where the rules were completely different.
“So, it’s just a few million dollars,” Bria said. “Do they really need to secretly move money for that?” She thought that kind of thing usually involved art auctions worth over a hundred million dollars, or at least pieces worth around ten million.
Andrew said, “That depends on net worth. If your net worth is low, that’s all you can move. Or you could say this ‘rising artist’ is only worth seven figures in the art world.”
“Wait, her background isn’t bad,” Renee added after checking again. “She’s from Zheron. She has photos of herself at events with several well-known people from there. They all move in the same circle, so her background can’t be that weak.”
Bria only cared about people she liked. Everyone else barely existed to her. She quickly concluded, “So, a girl from a decent family, trained in art since childhood, still had to rely on hype to reach this level of value?”
Renee pulled up Melody’s artworks.
Bria looked at them, laughed mockingly, then showed them to Shirley. “Do you think these look good?”
