Chapter 623 We Have Two Children Now
To make it easier to watch the babies, Ayla and Halle moved into Troy’s villa.
On the first night, Ayla couldn’t fall asleep at all.
Meanwhile, Troy was on the phone with Martin, informing him about the children.

Because of the time difference, it was daytime in Drakoria right now, so calling at this hour. wouldn’t disturb the elderly man.
Ayla sat on the couch, flipping through materials related to childcare.
Troy was making the call on a chair outside the living room’s floor-to-ceiling windows.
So, he waited until the children were born before telling his elders… He knew he had done something morally wrong, so it was only normal that he couldn’t bring himself to speak up, right?
The living room windows were open.
Ayla could hear Troy’s voice clearly.
“Grandpa.” Troy first asked Martin what he was doing. Then, they chatted about work for a bit before Troy got straight to the point. “Ayla and I have two children now.”
Ayla dropped the book and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, staring coldly at Troy.
At this moment, Troy was probably listening to Martin’s barrage of questions. His brows were tightly knit, but when he noticed her, his expression suddenly eased. The corner of his mouth curled into a cold smile, one that was clearly meant for Ayla.
“Grandpa, about the babies, Ayla and I talked it through. She’s really enjoying her new role as a mother right now.
“The kids’ nicknames have already been chosen by Ayla. We’re just waiting for you to give them their formal names.
“As for the nicknames, the daughter is called Birdie and the son is called Fluffly.
“I’ll send you videos of the babies. Soon.”
After saying a few more words, the call ended.
Troy tossed his phone aside and looked at her with arrogant eyes. “You don’t mind me saying it like that, do you?”

Ayla asked, “So now you’re completely shameles and don’t care about your image anymore?”
Troy’s skin was thick. He raised an eyebrow. “I planned this for so long and waited until the kids were born. That’s already a done deal. Does the original motive even matter anymore? Saying it this way makes it easier for the elders to accept, and they won’t overthink it. You heard it too. Grandpa is very happy to have great-grandchildren and wants to see photos and videos of our babies. I haven’t seen him this happy in a long time.”
Listening to him speak so brazenly, Ayla’s expression grew even uglier. “I’ve known you for so long, and I really underestimated you. How can someone be this thick-skinned?”
Troy’s gaze turned icy. “Maybe you never really understood me at all!”
Ayla said, “That’s right. I really didn’t understand you well enough. The way you’ve been acting since the divorce has truly opened my eyes.”
Troy’s face stayed cold. “I love you. Does that really surprise you that much? If I didn’t like you, would I have married you? Ayla, I don’t like women and I don’t like men. I only love you!”
Ayla said, “Stop talking about love. Everything you’ve done has nothing to do with love at all. You don’t even know how to love someone.”
Troy was extremely arrogant, arrogant to the point of being completely self-centered. He acted however he pleased and did whatever he wanted, and because he held power, he could turn everything unreasonable into something acceptable.
In Troy’s mind, all his obsessive behavior came from love, so he believed that this was what love was supposed to look like. He never reflected on himself or considered changing.
Sometimes, Ayla honestly wished she could live as shamelessly as Troy did-say whatever she wanted, mess with everyone, and have fun all by herself.
After being mocked by Ayla, Troy’s face turned ity. He stewed in anger for a while, then suddenly said, “Ayla, no one ever taught me how to love. Why don’t you teach me? We already have kids now, and we’ll have plenty of chances to interact in the future. It’s very good for building feelings.”
Ayla frowned. “You’re still hoping that I’ll come back?”
“I’ve always hoped for it. I don’t see anything wrong with hoping, Ayla, you loved me before. Loving me one more time isn’t that hard, is it? Why don’t you just try again with me!” Troy desperately wanted to pull Ayla into his arms, but he knew he couldn’t. The relationship had only eased slightly because of the children, and he crossed the line now, all of that progress would be wasted. He couldn’t afford that kind of loss.
Ayla let out a cold laugh. “Troy, that fantasy of yours will probably never come true!”
