Divorce Me I'm Done Serving You (Ayla and Troy) novel Chapter 720

Ayla was afraid.

Draven treated her very well. Ayla could clearly feel it. Precisely because he treated her so well, it became even easier to fall into it.

Ayla was afraid of losing control, so she wanted to act quickly. She looked at Draven. "I'll leave tomorrow. I'm not someone who can sit around doing nothing."

Draven realized she was serious. His heart tightened. "Everything was fine just a moment ago. Why do you suddenly want to leave?"

A wave of anger rose inside Ayla. That anger was not directed at Draven. It was disappointment in herself.

She hated her own cowardice. She hated that she could not resolve these things. She hated that she felt so useless.

Because of that anger, Ayla glared at Draven. Her tone was heavy. "Draven, can't I just want to leave? Why do you have to force me to stay? Why do you have to force me to do things I don't want to do? Only Max actually pays attention to how I feel and follows my lead when he interacts with me."

According to her work schedule, Ayla's business trip had already ended today.

She should have gone home with the gifts she bought for the babies. Instead, now both she and the babies had ended up in Draven's hands.

Not only were her emotions out of control, but her life and work were also out of control.

It felt terrible. The anxiety was overwhelming.

Draven had not expected Ayla to suddenly lose her temper. When people got sick, they often became sensitive, irritable, and depressed. Ayla must have run into something she could not figure out, which was why she reacted like this.

Facing her almost accusatory questioning, Draven remained steady. He calmed her emotions first. "Ayla, I won't force you to stay here, and I won't force you to do anything you don't want to do. If you want to leave tomorrow, I'll take you there myself."

His voice was low and calm, carrying a reassuring strength.

Ayla's emotions, which had been spiraling out of control, slowly settled down.

Draven continued, "But Ayla, your health isn't good right now. When you have a cold, you get dizzy, and you don't have energy to do much of anything. If you want to leave, you wouldn't leave the babies here. That means you would drag your body around while you're still sick and take care of two babies at the same time. It would be easy for your condition to get worse, and you might not even be able to take good care of them. Babies who are only two months old don't have fully developed immune systems yet. They can easily catch a cold or get sick. And during this season, the flu spreads often, so you have to be even more careful. If you don't have enough energy, can you really take good care of them?"

Right now, the thing Ayla cared about the most was the children. If he explained things from the perspective of the babies, she would be much more willing to listen.

Draven saw that she was beginning to take in his words, so he continued. "I only asked you to stay so you can recover. If you feel uncomfortable, you can take medicine and rest properly. Once your body is healthy, you'll have the strength to deal with complicated things. Give yourself a few more days, okay?"

Ayla liked listening to Draven's gentle voice. Every word he said was for her sake, and he was not forcing her to do anything. She accepted it naturally.
