Divorce Me I'm Done Serving You (Ayla and Troy) novel Chapter 918

James suspected Herman and Blake had something going on, so he said these things just to test Herman.

Herman was smart. He definitely knew what James really meant.

But the question was sharp. If Herman were a man, he wouldn't avoid it.

So James waited for his answer.

Herman was silent for a second, then replied, "Okay, I'll check for you."

James kept sending a voice message, "Wait, you don't know?"

Herman replied, "Once I find out, I'll tell you right away."

James got so frustrated at this sly fox that he actually laughed. Then he started grumbling-sing-song, "What kind of man are you... watching her walk away and saying nothing..."

Herman didn't even bother listening to James's loud, dramatic complaining.

Blake still hadn't given him a clear answer. There was only one week left before the one-month deadline, and she hadn't budged at all. It looked like she really planned to wait until the very last day before deciding.

But Herman couldn't wait anymore.

Blake had her surgery in another city and rested for many days before flying back to Trensea.

All her friends came to visit her.

Herman was there too.

James went right up to him and said, "Stop pretending. If you like her, just go after her."

Herman didn't even feel like dealing with him.

At first, he held back because he was jealous that James looked so happy with his relationship, and that pushed him to try harder to move things forward with Blake.

In fact, it actually worked out.

He had kept his secret crush for so many years and endured it all.

But just when he was about to finally get an answer, he suddenly couldn't hold it in anymore. In all his life, Herman had never felt so anxious or out of control.

He tried to calm himself down, but it didn't really work.

Maybe that was just what a crush did to him.

A one-sided love made him more and more bottled up, always holding his feelings in. But the moment there was even a hint of hope, it all exploded like a tidal wave.

After the friends left, Herman stayed behind. Since he lived nearby and wasn't in a rush to go home, he was the last one to leave.

James had already figured it out. Herman refused to admit anything, so he didn't make a big deal out of it and just gave him some space.

They probably had something going on, but it didn't seem official yet.

So before leaving, James said, "Good luck."
