Jed still didn’t believe it and continued investigating. He learned that Kaleb’s company employees hadn’t personally witnessed Ayla demonstrating her technical skills, but the database repair model and the newly constructed firewall had both been brought to the company by Ayla. Those tech guys treated Ayla like a goddess and worshipped her.
Jed really wanted to laugh.
Ayla was just a secretary. During the three years she was married to Troy, she’d been no different from a
nanny.
If she had such advanced technical skills, he’d never believe it in a million years.
Jed relayed all the information he’d investigated to Troy one by one.
“Mr. Winston, Ayla graduated from Agron University with a degree in computer science. Is she really that amazing?” he said.
Troy frowned.
He’d only heard about it from Martin in the past, but he hadn’t paid attention. Later, Skyla had also mentioned it, and he still hadn’t cared.
Now it felt like he was truly learning this fact for the first time.
Computer science from Agron University, the same major as Skyla. They were even alumni.
Troy felt an absurd sense of disbelief.
He was only now realizing that Ayla’s educational background was this impressive.

Troy didn’t respond. Jed assumed he was also extremely shocked, but deep down, Jed believed Ayla didn’t have this level of skill. He speculated, “Mr. Winston, Ayla brought a completed model with her. She probably didn’t do it herself. Maybe it was a classmate from her major.”
Troy snapped out of his disbelief and clenched his fists.
Even the serene atmosphere of the antique-style coffee club couldn’t calm him down, because what Ayla had said was true.
Draven really had helped her.
The rage in Troy’s heart was impossible to suppress. He was so angry that his chest actually hurt,
“It was Draven.”
Because he was so enraged, his lowered voice had a rough edge to it.
After his shock, Jed felt intense disgust toward Ayla, even hatred. “Mr. Winston, how can Ayla be so vicious! She knows how bad your relationship with Draven is. Going to Draven for help was deliberate. She wants

Troy clutched at his chest. This was the first time he’d discovered that extreme anger could make his heart throb with pain.
His face wasn’t flushed red with rage. It was just pale. His entire demeanor had darkened to the extreme.
He really didn’t want to just let this go.
But if he went to find Ayla now, her attitude would still be very firm. She might say even more infuriating things.
Troy didn’t want to face her cold expression again, nor did he want to hear even harsher words from her mouth.
Jed said, “Mr. Winston, are you listening? If Ayla dares to treat you like this now, she’ll probably do even more outrageous things in the future.”
He almost blurted out that she’d cheat on him.
A bitter smile tugged at Troy’s lips. “I divorced her.”
He hadn’t told Jed about this yet.
Jed was stunned for several seconds before asking, “Are you serious?”
Troy suddenly snapped angrily, “Could it be fake?”
Jed flinched. “Mr. Winston, I thought it was still like before…”
“Is divorce a game? We’ve already gotten the divorce papers.” Troy’s voice was extremely cold, veins bulging at his temples.
The Troy that Jed knew was steady and ruthless. His tone of voice had never been this out of control before. “I understand, Mr. Winston.”
This time Ayla really had guts. She actually went through with the divorce. And right after divorcing, she got involved with Draven. All he could say was that Ayla was absolutely disgusting.
She deliberately did whatever Troy didn’t like.
Troy had never loved Ayla. She’d been willing to be a doormat on her own. No one had forced her.
Troy just treated Skyla a little better, and she actually took it to the point of divorce.
Who did she think she was? Troy was the CEO of Winston Group, a member of Trensea’s elite, at the very top of the social pyramid. Being able to marry Troy was the best man she could ever land in this lifetime. Ayla should have been smart enough to appreciate that, stay home and play nanny, taking care of Troy to his complete satisfaction. What was the point of making a fuss about divorce!

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
