Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 245

She believed this was her destiny, and she accepted it calmly.

Even if she didn't have as much financial muscle and the Alvarado Group's connections couldn't match hers, there was nothing undeserved about this hospitality.

Ayla watched Lisa, quietly realizing just how powerful gentleness could be as a weapon. With just a few words and a smile, Lisa could turn even the worst moods around.

Rolf and his sister were nothing alike.

As Lisa shared a story behind the main course, Rolf finally arrived.

When he walked in, everyone in the room looked at him.

Ayla and Halle both stared straight at him.

Rolf clenched his fists on the spot, ready to explode, but his father and sister's gazes were full of warning.

He knew them too well—those looks meant this was way more serious than he'd realized on the phone.

He was left wondering what exactly had happened.

Who was Halle that even his dad acted so wary around her?

And why was Ayla there?

Did she really just enjoy crashing dinners and trying to climb the social ladder?

If he had even a bit more power, he wouldn't look down on Ayla like this.

To him, Ayla just wasn't worthy—she could only play mind games.

Crushed by the pressure from his dad and sister, Rolf didn't dare say much and sat down obediently.

Lisa broke the ice. "Ms. Kinsman, I heard you met my brother today."

Halle replied, "Yeah, but it didn't go well."

Conrad's face went dark, and Lisa shot Rolf a sharp look. "Rolf, aren't you going to stand up and apologize to Ms. Kinsman and Ms. Keaton?"

She nodded toward his glass. "Drink up. Show them you mean it."

Rolf couldn't understand. "Wait, why is this such a big deal?" The glass in front of him was filled with strong liquor. If he took one big gulp, he'd be wiped out.

He really didn't think Halle deserved all this.

Just then, Ayla got a text from Draven.

"I'm outside. Did you get here yet?"

Ayla replied, "Been here a few minutes."
