Her hands shook badly. "Ayla, are you out of options, so now you're making up something this ridiculous? You know I like Draven, so you're trying to scare me with his name? Do you really think the Storms are that easy to cling to? You've got guts! If I tell Draven about this, do you think you can survive the consequences?!"
Melody looked fierce, like shouting louder would make everyone back down.
Bria looked at her like she was stupid. "Oh wow. You like my brother?"
She had never respected Melody before, but now she felt completely grossed out. Every word she spoke carried sharp hatred. "I'd even find you disgusting as my maid, and you still dare to dream about my brother? Where do you get that confidence? And don't even mention him. It makes me sick. I'm Draven's real little sister. Are you jealous? Angry? About to explode? Hahaha!"
Bria's words were cruel. With her naturally sharp features and the way she looked down on others like trash, every sentence hit Melody right where it hurt.
Melody screamed, "Shut up!"
Bria hadn't suffered such a loss in a long time. Her mind was already busy planning how to destroy Melody once she got free. Nobody had ever bullied her and still walked away smiling. She already had dozens of ways in mind to make Melody pay.
The last time Melody targeted Ayla after the breakup, Bria had warned her that the next time they met, she would beat her up. She hadn't been joking. And now Melody had dared to hurt her again. There was no way Bria would forgive that. In Bria's world, holding back anger didn't exist.
She had been lost in her revenge fantasies, but the moment she heard Melody talking about Draven intimately, she couldn't stand it anymore. It wasn't just anger—it was pure disgust, like hearing a dog calling her brother's name.
Bria watched Melody losing control and kept talking, her words wild and sharp. "So that's why you went crazy. Bitch, now that you've offended me, I'll cry in front of my brother once he gets here and act pitiful until he destroys you! Hahaha! Just wait—you're finished!"
The more Melody listened, the more fear crept into her chest. But maybe that was just a trick Bria and Ayla made up to scare her.
It had to be!
Seeing fear flash across Melody's face, Ayla felt slightly relieved and pushed further. "I already sent Draven the location. He'll be here soon. Melody, if you want him to see what you did to his sister, go ahead. But can you handle what happens next? It won't just be him hating you. You'll also have to answer for kidnapping and beating her. Draven cares deeply about Bria. If you let her go now and admit your mistake, maybe he won't take this all the way for your brother's sake."
Ayla was only trying to calm Melody for now. With Draven's personality, he would definitely make Melody pay. The only question was how heavy the price would be.
And then there was Bria, who was even harder to deal with. She liked to strike back secretly and knew exactly how to make people suffer.
Melody was heading straight into disaster.
Kidnapping and beating someone that badly was already enough to land her in prison.
Both Bria and Melody were rich girls used to getting their way. Neither of them had clean hands behind the scenes. The only difference was that people at different levels paid different prices. And for rich kids like them, the rule had always been simple—whoever had the stronger backing won.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
