“Ashton! Stay away from my family from now on! Did you hear me? You’re nothing but a jinx! Why don’t you just go to hell!” Tanya screamed, her face flushed with rage.

With an icy expression, Roxy rebuked Ashton, “If anything happens to Renee or Celia, I will never forgive you!”

“Mommy…”

Amid the commotion, Celia slowly opened her eyes and held her hands out, wanting Ashton to hold her. But Roxy instinctively stepped back, putting distance between Celia and him.

“Mommy’s here, Celia. Everything’s okay now.”

“Daddy saved Aunt Renee and me. He beat up the bad guys and made them run off!” Celia declared.

Only then did everyone realize how empty their surroundings were. The men who were trying to kidnap Celia were nowhere in sight!

“That’s nonsense! How can a loser like him save anyone? Those bastards came over because of him! They must’ve run off because Roxy came back!”

Hugging Celia tightly, Roxy introduced Eunice to her parents. “Mom, Dad, this is Eunice Clark. She’s with the Legion. Those men must’ve fled because she showed up.”

“Oh! That makes sense. Thank you very much, Ms. Clark! I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if it hadn’t been for you!” Tanya exclaimed before scoffing. “To think that someone even tried to claim all the credit for himself, even tricking a little girl! He gets more and more shameless every day!”

Ever since Ashton refused to give Tanya the medication, her hatred for him filled every fiber of her being.

However, Eunice was frowning. She’d picked up on a terrifying presence just now, one that even sent chills down her spine. Why did it vanish all of a sudden?

Looking at Ashton, she wondered if it’d been because of him. But she shook her head at once. Ashton was too young to possess such strength!

“Roxy, I’ll send some people over to watch over your family for the next few days. Those punks wouldn’t dare do anything again, not with me around!” Eunice promised.

“I can’t thank you enough!” Roxy said gratefully.

“The doctor’s here, Roxy. We need to hurry up and get Renee’s wound treated. Let’s head back inside. Just the sight of this useless piece of trash nauseates me!”

“Yeah.”

Roxy continued to clutch Celia tightly.

“Daddy is the best daddy in the world, Mommy! It’s not Daddy’s fault. Don’t be mad at him…” Celia said sadly. ” It’s all because of me. I’m a bad little girl…”

“How are you a bad little girl? You’re the best little girl ever, Celia!”

Roxy became even more enraged after hearing what Celia said. Just what the hell did he say to her for her to come to his defense all the time!

Roxy turned around and marched off, swearing to herself that she would never let Ashton get custody of Celia. He wasn’t worthy of it!

Just then, a bunch of cars skidded to a stop outside the Sloan residence.

Looking frantic and concerned, Calvin quickly checked in on Roxy. After hearing what happened, he began lashing out at Ashton, swearing that he would teach Ashton a lesson.

At the same time, Sylvia, Gene, and Louie had also shown up.

“Is everything alright, Ashton?” Sylvia asked worriedly.

“Sylvia!”

Melody came rushing out of the house as well. Once she confirmed that Ashton was alright, her heart settled back in place.

“What happened, Mr. Gray?” Gene and Louie both asked.

Ashton watched as the Sloans headed back inside. He waved at Celia, his smile swiftly replaced by an icy expression once she disappeared into the house.

Everyone had a line that shouldn’t be crossed.

Ashton had some unfinished business to attend to tonight–the entire Kramer family had to die!
