Ashton’s gaze was filled with bloodlust, so chilling that even Gene and Louie flinched.
He looked at Sylvia and Melody, saying, “You two head back and get some sleep. I have some unfinished business
to do.”
“What are you going to do? You saw just how dangerous it is to cross the Kramer family. Maybe you should flee instead!” Melody suggested out of fear.
“We’ll head home first, Ashton,” Sylvia said with a sweet smile before dragging Melody back into the house with her.
At a time like this, she didn’t have to do anything. All she had to do was have faith in Ashton.
“Where is the headquarters of the Gale Assembly?” Ashton asked.
Both Gene and Louie were visibly shocked when he mentioned the Gale Assembly.
“They’re based in the South Gate district, Mr. Gray. Do you need to talk to them about something? I do know a few people in the Gale Assembly. Shall I introduce you to them?” Gene asked tentatively.
Ashton sneered, his bloodlust flaring once more. “There’s no need for introductions. I’m going over there to kill a few people.”
“Kill a few people? Who?”
“Trent and Harrick Kramer!”
“Harrick Kramer? He’s the deputy head of the Gale Assembly!” Louie hastily cried out. “You mustn’t act rashly, Mr. Gray. The Gale Assembly isn’t any less powerful than the Holt Crew. It’s even rumored that the head of the Gale Assembly is a peak S–ranked expert. He could become an SS–ranked expert any day now!
“Besides, the Gale Assembly is a massive faction. They have a boatload of experts, including many A–ranked experts. Even the deputy head is an S–ranked expert!
“I have an idea, Mr. Gray. I’ll get in touch with my connections and demand that they hand over Trent as well as get Harrick to apologize to you. Would that be enough to settle the score for everything that happened today?”
Louie was genuinely afraid that Ashton would act all hot–headed and let his recklessness get the better of him by marching right over to the Gale Assembly all by himself. That was no different from suicide.
“They must die tonight,” Ashton replied, his tone absolute. “You two don’t need to come with me. I’ll be right back!”
Ashton got into the car and floored the accelerator, driving straight to the Gale Assembly’s headquarters.
As they watched the car speed away, Gene and Louie were torn. Should they follow him or not?
After mulling it over for just a moment, Gene steeled himself and went after Ashton.
“Have they all lost their minds!” Louie exclaimed.
He was still quite hesitant, for he didn’t want to make an enemy out of the Gale Assembly.
“No matter how powerful Ashton is, how can he charge into the Gale Assembly alone and demand to kill Harrick, the deputy head of the organization? That’s not going to turn out well. And if he’s dead, there’s no point in trying to get into his good books!”

Chapter 118

After thinking about Cadence Suther, the mysterious head of the Gale Assembly, Louie chose not to join Ashton in this fight.
Over at the headquarters of the Gale Assembly, Harrick brought Trent and the others back, looking like they’d just made a run for their lives. They were all sweating profusely, still filled with dread when they recalled the men who’d met their tragic demise in the black flames.
Had they been even just a step too late, they would’ve been reduced to ashes as well!
Unwilling to accept the outcome, Trent asked, “Uncle Harrick, are we just going to let my father die for nothing?”
Harrick shot him a glare. “Are you telling me you want to take revenge? You’re talking about an S–ranked expert!”
“Can’t the Gale Assembly take Ashton down?”
“The Gale Assembly can, but why would they make an enemy out of an S–ranked expert just for your sake? Forget about it. Take some money and go abroad. Spend the rest of your life there, and don’t think about revenge anymore!” Harrick instructed, feeling quite fearful himself.
“Wait here. I need to report this situation to Mr. Suther. I have the feeling that Ashton won’t be letting things slide so easily!”
“It’s not like he’ll come charging into the Gale Assembly headquarters, right?”
“You’re giving him too much credit there. No one would dare to cause a scene here at the Gale Assembly headquarters!” Harrick proudly declared.
Soon, Harrick managed to get a meeting with Cadence.
“What is it?” Cadence asked, his eyes closed as he slowly took each breath.
“Mr. Suther, I brought a group of experts out for a fight today, but we ended up crossing an S–ranked expert…”
