Robert nodded and made a call. He said fawningly, “Mr. Colson, it’s me, Robert.”

“What is it?”

“Someone gave my sister a diamond and said it’s The Lustra. I’d like to ask you to appraise it and tell us whether it’s real.”

“Oh?” Stanley was intrigued now. He asked curiously, “The Lustra? Who is it from?”

“Just some two–bit street thug trying to get in with my sister,” Robert said.

“Then it must be fake!” Stanley grew displeased. “The Lustra was priced at 50 million dollars before, but it’s worth 60 million dollars now! As far as I’m aware, even an Iropan princess wants that diamond. How could a treasure worth that kind of money end up in the hands of some random thug? Are you making a fool of me, Mr. Sloan?”

Robert hurriedly said, “I wouldn’t dare, Mr. Colson. It’s just that this dude refuses to admit the diamond is fake; I had no choice but to ask you to appraise it so he’d give up. It’ll also show us his true, hypocritical personality!”

“Roxy, don’t waste your breath on him. I recorded our earlier conversation, so once it’s proven that this diamond is fake, Ashton won’t be able to set foot in here again. Then, we’ll have a reason to keep him from seeing Celia. You have to learn to cut ties. Keep the kid and ditch the dad!” Robert snarled, looking menacing.

“Roxy, this is for Celia’s good, too.” Michael, who’d been silent thus far, finally spoke.

Ashton was even more determined to win back custody of Celia after seeing how the Sloans acted. If he weren’t still getting his footing, he would never let Celia stay with the Sloans another day.

“Mr. Colson, haven’t you figured out if it’s real yet?” Robert asked, sounding confused.

“I’m already on my way to the Sloan residence. As for whether The Lustra is real or fake, I’ll need to appraise it in person to be sure!”

“Right here. Mr. Colson, hurry up and check it. If it’s fake, I’ll make sure Ashton doesn’t get away with it! He’s wasted enough of our time!”

Robert threw The Lustra to Stanley.
