Chapter 160
Lawrence’s words only filled Clay with even more contempt
“If I lose or die, Mr. Clarkson Senior, it simply proves that I’m inferior to him. I’ll accept any outcome of the fight, “Clay insisted. “Kindly allow me to challenge Ashton to a duel to the death!”
Looking over at Ashton, Lawrence asked, “What do you say?”
“I’m fine with whatever,” Ashton replied.
Since someone was so eager to die, he didn’t mind granting that wish.
Lawrence nodded and let out a light sigh. Then, with a sly smile, he remarked, “In that case, let’s just have a friendly match to determine the victor. There’s no need to make it a duel to the death.”
“Are you afraid I’ll kill this loser, Mr. Clarkson Senior?” Clay questioned arrogantly, his expression smug. “Since you’ve spoken, I promise I’ll spare his life!”
He’d already decided to break Ashton’s arms during the fight, making sure that Ashton wouldn’t be able to touch Kayla ever again. This was the price for stealing his woman
“Let the fight begin, then!” Felix chimed in with a smile.
This fight was the opportunity for both Clay and the Dominion Vanguard to make a name for themselves. As long as Clay defeated Ashton, Felix would make sure the news spread far and wide. This would certainly deal another crushing blow to the already–failing Legion.
Looking somewhat panicked, Kayla protested, “Grandpa! How can you agree to this fight? It’s not fair for Ashton! What if-”
“Hush! You should trust that the man I chose for you won’t lose!” Lawrence said, cutting her off.
Startled, she eyed Ashton doubtfully. Could he really defeat Clay, the future head of the Dominion Vanguard?
That didn’t seem possible at all!
“Come at me, Ashton!”
Clay stepped forward, unleashing the formidable presence of an SS–ranked expert as he eyed Ashton like a bloodthirsty beast. He couldn’t wait to crush Ashton and humiliate him!
He was going to prove to Kayla just who was worthy of her. No one could steal his woman from him!
However, Lawrence held his hand up and said, “There’s no rush. A meaningless fight would only be a waste of time. Surely there must be a prize for the winner. What do you say, Felix?”
“What do you mean by that, Mr. Clarkson Senior?” Felix queried in puzzlement.
Smiling, Lawrence commented, “You have a Primordium Pl on you right now, don’t you, Felix? If Ashton is somehow fortunate enough to win against Clay, the pill will go to him. How does that sound?”
“You want me to use the Primordium Pill as a wager?”
Felix was thunderstruck.
There were only five Primordium Pill in existence throughout the entire Casoria, and the one he had with him was meant to help Clay with his cultivation breakthrough.
The Primordium Pill contained an unthinkable abundance of spiritual energy. It was incomparable. Every single pill required a considerable amount of valuable resources and many years of effort to create. It was truly a

priceless treasure!
“What’s the matter? Are you too afraid to bet on it?” Lawrence asked mockingly.
Staring at Lawrence, Felix felt like something was off, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.
He hesitated briefly before asking, “If I’m going to wager with the Primordium Pill, Mr. Clarkson Senior, what will you put forth?”
“The Legion isn’t as rich as the Dominion Vanguard. How’s this? If Clay wins against Ashton, I’m willing to hand over the southern region of the northern frontier to the Dominion Vanguard. Is that enough to match that Primordium Pill of yours, Felix?” Lawrence asked with a breezy smile.
“Are you sure about that, Mr. Clarkson Senior?”
“I am.”
Felix became even more hesitant now.
“Do it, Mr. Aguilar! Just bet on the Primordium Pill. I shall win the southern region of the northern frontier for the Dominion Vanguard today!” Clay declared.
