Bursting with a sense of superiority, Clay declared imperiously, “Lucky for you, I’m a nice man. I can give you a chance to live. Just get on your knees to beg for mercy, break both your arms, and swear you’ll never see Kayla again! Do that, and I’ll spare your life just this once!”

“Done with your bullshit yet?” Ashton asked curtly, completely ignoring Clay’s threats.

“Guess you’re hellbent on dying, huh!”

Clay was infuriated by the look of scorn in Ashton’s eyes. To think that a loser like Ashton was looking down on him! He was going to make Ashton pay through the nose for this!

“Hurry up and give it your best shot. Otherwise, if I make the first move, it’ll be over for you,” Ashton said impatiently.

“You asked for it!”

Clay had never been belittled like this before! Outraged, he immediately shot forward.

“He’s so fast!” Kayla exclaimed. “Was that the Meteor Step of the Dominion Vanguard?”

“That’s right. Clay has fully mastered the Meteor Step,” Nell said.

“What now! Why isn’t Ashton moving? Don’t tell me he’s given up!” Kayla cried out worriedly.

“Just keep your eyes peeled, Kayla! You’ll soon get to see what true power looks like,” Lawrence said calmly.

In next to no time, Clay closed the distance and aimed a punch right at Ashton’s chest. He moved at lightning speed, giving Ashton no time to respond.

“I’ll only need a single punch to defeat you!” he declared with a victorious grin.

He was going to dish out a devastating defeat to Ashton, proving to Kayla that he was the only one worthy of her!

But suddenly, his eyes widened in disbelief. Just as his fist was about to land, Ashton somehow avoided the attack.

It was a swing and a miss. Clay even lost his balance somewhat.

“How could this be!” Clay cried out as he bent forward to stabilize himself.

He’d been certain that he’d locked right onto Ashton. There was no way Ashton could’ve avoided the punch!

“You’re too slow.”

Ashton’s scorn–filled voice rang out right by Clay’s ear.

“You only got lucky once! I doubt you can keep avoiding my attacks!”

Gaze hardening, Clay used the Meteor Step to once again launch a series of attacks on Ashton, throwing punch after punch. Yet, no matter what he did, he failed to injure Ashton, not even a scratch!

It was as if Ashton could predict every move of his Meteor Step, for he was always a step too slow.

This situation made Clay’s expression twist with fury. His blood was boiling as it coursed through his veins. The bloodlust that emanated from him intensified further.

He couldn’t believe that Ashton had managed to toy with him!

Out of nowhere, Ashton’s chilling voice rang out again.

“Let’s see if you’re lucky enough to dodge my attack.”
