Ashton’s punch tore through the air, shattering the protective barrier Clay had hurriedly formed out of inner energy. His fist smashed right into Clay’s face.
Immediately, a dent formed on Clay’s cheek, and blood splattered from his mouth. His body flipped in the air twice before he managed to regain his footing and back away in terror, putting some distance between him and Ashton.
He sucked in ragged breaths. The arrogance in his eyes was gone, replaced entirely by shock and fear. To this moment, he still had no idea when Ashton had even thrown the punch.
How could anyone be this fast? He didn’t even get a chance to defend himself.
Clay’s cheek was throbbing like mad. When he heard Kayla squealing in joy, he felt as though Ashton had utterly stomped on his dignity. He had never ever suffered such humiliation before!
“I’ll give you a chance to concede defeat. If you get on your knees and beg for mercy, I’ll spare your life,” Ashton said as he eyed Clay condescendingly.
Clay’s scowl kept deepening. Ashton was humiliating him by throwing his words back at him!
“Do you think you’ll get another chance to injure me, Ashton? I’d simply underestimated you just now!” Clay hollered, his veins bulging.
He released his inner energy, forming a protective barrier in front of him, before clenching his fists and locking in on Ashton once more.
Clay refused to believe that Ashton could beat him. He was the future head of the Dominion Vanguard and its brightest star! He was the most powerful among the younger generation! There was no way he’d lose now!
“All it takes to injure you is a single hand,” Ashton said.
Then, he moved first, rapidly lunging at Clay and swinging his open palm right at him with great force.
Upon seeing Ashton’s attack, Felix couldn’t keep his composure any longer. He hurriedly shouted, “Move aside!”
Truthfully, from the moment Ashton made his first move, Felix had felt a creeping dread. Even he couldn’t fully track Ashton’s movements. Such speed had far exceeded his expectations.
Clay was visibly flustered. With no way of locking onto Ashton, he could only do his best to defend himself.
A sharp, cracking sound tore through the air as Ashton’s palm smashed through Clay’s barrier and slapped across his face.
Clay’s body tumbled sideways, with blood dripping from his mouth. His face looked completely deformed now, so grotesquely swollen that no trace of his earlier dashing demeanor could be spotted.
Giggling, Kayla remarked loudly, “The future head of the Dominion Vanguard, the supposed prodigy, now looks more like a pig instead!”
She was giddy with glee.
Over the years, the Dominion Vanguard had continuously dominated the Legion, much to the legionnaires‘ resentment. Therefore, she was overjoyed to see Ashton beating up the arrogant Clay. In fact, she began to develop an even more favorable impression of Ashton.
“I’m going to kill you, Ashton!”
Kayla’s mockery had tipped the scales for Clay, sending him into a murderous frenzy. He unleashed all of his

inner energy, gathering it in the palm of his right hand, the bloodlust crackling in the air.
“The Titan’s Seal!”
Clay’s veins bulged beneath his skin as he made a gesture with his hand. Immediately, a crushing force surrounded Ashton. It sounded like the very air was splitting as the murderous force shot at him.
However, Ashton simply said, “Is this all you got? And you want to kill me? Where did you get that level of confidence from?”
In the blink of an eye, he threw out a punch in the air, and the two forces clashed, sending ripples through the air.
