Lawrence slowly extended a single finger and pointed at Felix. In an instant, light erupted from his fingertip and formed a concentrated beam, striking Felix’s Soulcrusher atack as if there was no distance between them at all.
All at once, a momentous explosion blasted outward, sending ripples in all directions. It was as if the very fabric of space had been ripped apart.
Blood flew in the air as Felix let out a blood–curdling scream. He now had a thumb–sized hole in his palm, the mangled flesh covered in blood. His body was also sent flying backward.
“You…”
Felix widened his eyes in shock. He knew just how powerful his earlier strike was, and he’d only dared to attack Ashton because he thought that the sickly Lawrence wouldn’t be able to stop him.
Alas, he couldn’t be more wrong about the situation.
Even though Lawrence was now an old man confined to a wheelchair, the force from just one of his fingers was still far more than what Felix could handle.
Terror and disbelief surged through Felix. He did whatever he could to move as quickly as possible, desperate to get Clay out of here.
However, before he could even get close to Clay, the hole in his palm began emanating a chilling light, forming a spear–shaped beam that was aimed at him.
“How is this possible?” Felix exclaimed.
Felix’s eyes couldn’t get any wider. He couldn’t figure out how a single flick of Lawrence’s finger could result in such earth–shattering might. Biting his lip, he drew upon all of his inner energy to form a protective barrier in front of him.
Yet the moment the beam of light touched the barrier, the barrier instantly scattered into bubbles, unable to put up any resistance.
The light shot forward, going right through Felix’s abdomen.
Instantly, he cried out in agony again, his body flying through the air before crashing heavily on the ground, just barely alive.
He knew Lawrence had deliberately spared his life. Otherwise, he would’ve died on the spot.
Felix felt a deep sense of horror and despair.
Lawrence’s icy voice rang out once more.
“I may be old, weak, and sick, but as long as I’m not dead, little minions like you lot better not even think about acting brazenly in front of me!”
However, Kayla and Neil panicked when they saw how pale Lawrence became after launching the attack. The earlier rosiness of his cheeks had vanished entirely. He now looked like he was on the verge of death again.
“Mr. Clarkson Senior!”
Ashton’s expression stiffened. He knew better than anyone ust how bad Lawrence’s health condition was. If Lawrence tried to use his inner energy by force and ended up tearing open any wounds, the damage would be irreversible!
“I’m fine!” Lawrence said with a smile, stopping Ashton from coming over. “I know my limits. The fight isn’t

over yet. Let’s determine the victor first.”
Meeting Lawrence’s gaze, Ashton nodded before approaching Clay with a murderous look in his eyes. Feeling the imposing bloodlust rolling off Ashton, Clay quaked in fear. He didn’t want to die!
Clay glanced at Felix, who was lying in a pool of blood. He couldn’t waste any time. Immediately, he tried to make his escape.
Alas, before he even got off the combat arena, Ashton slammed him back down onto the ground. He took a step forward and pressed Clay’s head into the ground with his foot, asking coldly, “Do you concede defeat?”
