He knew that anything less than complete fealty was betrayal.

He thought that, in comparison to Ashton and the knowledge of the Ninefold Arcane Technique, the entire Emerson Group was completely insignificant.

Calvin lowered his head, not daring to utter another word.

Roxy observed the entire scene in silence, her eyes dull as she studied the composed Ashton and the adoring Sylvia.
