Damian’s face was contorted with fury as he bellowed, “You think this is the end of what I can throw at you, huh? You are utterly ignorant of the sheer foundation and reach of the Payne family’s influence, Ashton!”

He took a deep breath, then swiftly took out his phone to make a call. “I need you to assist me in apprehending, someone, Timothy…”

He let out a sinister chuckle after ending the call. “Your time is up, Ashton! I’ll have you groveling before me, begging for forgiveness! I’ll grind your skull beneath my heel and let you know that you have no right to steal my woman! You’ll find out that Sylvia belongs to me alone!”

“I’ll give you one last chance to show off then. I’d like to see what you’ve got, after all,” Ashton stated indifferently.

He still had some time before his scheduled conquest of Natalie, so he saw no issue in indulging Damian while also ensuring that all witnesses were deterred from making any future designs upon Sylvía. He wanted to let everyone know that his woman was off–limits.

In a matter of a few minutes, a middle–aged man, clad in an unmistakable battle robe, marched into the scene. He was trailed by a contingent of experts whose collective bloodlust was palpable and suffocatingly dense.

It was then that someone exclaimed in surprise, “Those people are from the Legion!”

“That battle robe signifies someone of SS–ranked status in the Legion!”

“It’s all coming back to me now! That’s Timothy Ziegler. He used to be the Payne family’s revered retainer, who later enlisted with the Legion. He’s actually back in Javonbury! Ashton’s done for!”

“They are a force to be reckoned with, possessing the backing of the government! If Timothy were to engage Ashton to settle Damian’s vendetta, Ashton’s fate would be absolute–he would be powerless to resist!”

“You’re finally here, Timothy! That’s the person who tried to kill me! You have to arrest him immediately and ensure he faces the full penalty of the law!” Damian declared excitedly.

He wanted to give Ashton a taste of true, overwhelming power. He wanted to let Ashton know that no matter how many people stood with him, once he leveraged his official resources, the criminal underworld’s influence meant nothing.

Timothy furrowed his brow, a flicker of displeasure crossing his features. He then stated flatly, “I shall consider this to be the ultimate obligation I owe the Payne family. I don’t owe the Payne family anything anymore once this affair is concluded!”

Damian hesitated for a moment before nodding in assent. “Get him, Timothy!”

He was determined to exact revenge for the shame and the dishonor he suffered today. He also needed to prom to Sylvia that he was the only man worthy of her devotion.

Timothy approached Ashton and stated coldly, “You have been accused of murder, so you are required to comply with the Legion’s directive and join me immediately for questioning,”

That statement alone caused Cadence and the others to feel a crushing despair. They still stood firm, though, blocking the path toward Ashton.

“What’s the meaning of this? How dare you refuse to comply with an arrest! You ought to know that the Legion has the authority to neutralize the threat before reporting! You’d better consider your actions carefully! Timothy declared before raising his hand.

In that instant, the backup forces of the Legion unleashed a wave of cold bloodlust, prepared to strike the moment Timothy gave the signal.
