The smile returned to Tanya’s face once she saw that Ashton was now cornered.

“That little bastard is finally getting what he deserves. Once they catch him, I won’t ever have to see his face again. He brought this on himself. He has no one to blame but himself for this. This is retribution!”

Robert scoffed. “I doubt Ashton can escape this time. If he does, I’ll admit that I was wrong about him!” Roxy shook her head, her brows tightly knitted. Ashton did this to himself. She’d already given him a warning. Once he was captured and suffered for a while, she’d find a way to get him released.

“Take him down! Kill anyone who tries to interfere!” Timothy commanded.

As the tidal wave of bloodlust came crashing down, Cadence and the others froze in hesitation.

“You’re an SS–ranked legionnaire, Timothy, but here you are, taking orders from the rich and powerful. What nerve you have! Do you think you deserve to wear the uniform you have on right now?” Ashton abruptly stepped forward and growled.

“Have you lost your mind, Ashton? Do you think that now’s the time for you to talk about being righteous? I’ve warned you long ago that you can’t beat me. You have no right to touch my woman, either! Just you wait. I’ll take my revenge and torment you!” Damian declared smugly.

Timothy’s brow furrowed, but he didn’t answer Ashton. He simply said icily, “Subdue him.”

“How dare you try to capture me, Timothy? Are you not afraid of committing insubordination, which is punishable by death?” Ashton questioned sharply.

Timothy’s eyes flashed with hostility. “Insubordination? Who the hell do you think you are? I have every right to seize you for that alone!”

“Who the hell am I, huh? Well, open your damn eyes and take a look at this!”

Ashton pulled out the Legion’s Sigil that Lawrence had given him and raised it high, right in front of Timothy.

As soon as he brought it out, Timothy’s eyes widened in horror. Seeing the Legion’s Sigil was akin to seeing the head of the Legion himself. All legionnaires had to obey the bearer of the sigil without question.

“H–How do you have… that?”

Timothy’s entire body shook, his hands and feet going cold.

He was certain–absolutely certain—the sigil was real, based on the effect it had on him. It was impossible to forge the pressure that emanated from it.

But still, he couldn’t figure out how Ashton had the Legion’s Sigil. That was something only the head of the Legion could possess.

“Kneel!” Ashton demanded.

Timothy’s expression stiffened, and his knees started buckling.

“Hurry up and capture him, Timothy! Lock him in my family’s dungeon. I’ll interrogate him myself and pay him. back a thousand times over for all the humiliation I was forced to endure today!”

He had already planned out exactly how he’d torment Ashton–how he’d make Ashton watch while he had his way with Sylvia!

“Shut up!” Timothy snarled at Damian, his eyes bloodshot.
