Chapter 227
Ashton studied Natalie’s captivating face as he waited for her answer.
Master?
Natalie was covered in sweat, her clothes clinging to her, and the lace of her bra just barely visible. She was still lying on the floor, feeling as though everything was unreal.
She never expected that the talisman Ashton gave her would actually work–or that he’d save her life again!
Just the memory of the shocking scene that unfolded before her earlier was enough for her to change her entire perception of him. But even so, it was still impossible for a proud woman like her to acknowledge someone else as her master.
“What’s the matter? You don’t want to do it?” Ashton asked teasingly.
Tugging at her slightly torn blouse, Natalie was just about to respond when her eyes widened, and the agonizing pain coursed through her again, making her scream.
She curled up on the floor, shuddering as she cried out, “Hurry up and help me…”
“That’s not how someone begs for help.”
Ashton was unmoved.
He knew it wouldn’t be easy to make someone like Natalie submit completely to him. What he needed was for her to fully submit to his will, both in body and soul, so he didn’t mind taking a bit more time with it.
“Save me, Master!” Natalie cried out.
She resisted the humiliation she felt from saying those words and stared pitifully at Ashton.
Only then did he pick her up and set her down on the desk. She started wriggling about, her face flushed.
“Stop moving. I’m going to perform acupuncture on you now,” Ashton instructed. “The poison has already entered your bloodstream. If it’s not dealt with in time, you’ll be subjected to a pain worse than death every single day.”
Natalie trembled in fear and settled down, too scared to move an inch, She pressed her lips together at the thought of how she was obeying him more and more now.
Meanwhile, Ashton couldn’t resist clicking his tongue when he took in her body that was now draped over the desk. He had to admit that she was hotter than one could ever imagine,
“Are you done staring yet!” Natalie scoffed.
“Don’t move.”
Ashton pressed her down with one hand. With the other, he pierced nine needles into her body, all while his eyes glinted darkly.
As soon as the needles went in, Natalie’s breath hitched. The pain slowly ebbed away. In fact, she started to feel completely relaxed, as if all of her burdens had been lifted off.
However, just a few minutes later, the relaxing sensation completely disappeared, and she felt like she’d fallen
from heaven back down onto earth.

“Why did it stop?” Natalie complained.
As she savored the memory of that sensation, she glared balefully at Ashton. She’d been enjoying herself very much just now.
“All I did was suppress the parasitic poison for now to stop it from activating any further. There’s no reason for me to save you if you don’t acknowledge me as your master, right?” Ashton remarked with a chuckle.
“You’re threatening me? How does that make you any different from Hank and Sid?” Natalie snapped icily.
She tried to adjust her blouse, but when she realized there was no way to cover her half–exposed chest, she stopped bothering with it.
Snorting, Ashton commented, “Don’t go twisting things around, Ms. York! Am I the one who poisoned you so that I could threaten you? You’re free to refuse my terms. You’d better not forget that you were the one who begged for help tonight. That’s the only reason why I stepped in to save your life.
“What do you think would’ve happened to you by now if I hadn’t done that?”
