Roxy retorted coldly, “Have you forgotten how I implored Ashton to spare Calvin, only for him to disregard me, Roxy? He brought this upon himself! He has no one to blame but himself!”

She felt a fresh wave of fury rising within her as she recalled Ashton’s disregard for her. “Isn’t Ashton so competent? I’d like him to prove it, then! I’d like to see how he withstands the wrath of Calvin’s grieving parents!”

She was resolute in her plan to humble Ashton. She would hold back until the retaliation was almost complete, at which point she would offer minimal assistance for the sake of him being Celia’s father, making sure he didn’t suffer a complete collapse.

She firmly believed that he desperately needed to grasp his shortcomings.

She thought up until this point, then stepped forward and offered a formal bow to Calvin’s parents.

Roxy then stated apologetically, “I’m deeply sorry for Calvin’s death, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson. But what’s done is done, so please accept my condolences.”

Yvonne’s eyes were bloodshot. “You want me to accept your condolences? I want retribution! Ashton must pay with his life! Get him to come out right now!”

Roxy stated firmly, “I’ve already divorced Ashton, so the Sloan family has nothing to do with him anymore.”

“You’re telling me that Ashton alone is responsible for Calvin’s death and that you have nothing to do with it, huh?

Yvonne hissed, her face contorting with rage.

Roxy fell silent for a moment before replying, “That’s right, Mrs. Emerson. Calvin and I used to be close friends, so I’m deeply saddened by his death, too. If Emerson Group ever needs assistance in the future, Summit Group will provide help with all its might!”

“How could you say such a thing, Roxy!” Renee felt her heart sink at the thought that Ashton would be crushed if he heard such a thing from Roxy.

Tanya hurriedly dragged Renee behind her and said, “You have no idea how much animosity we harbor for Ashton, Mrs. Emerson! He is the source of all our misery! You ought to know that we, the Sloan family, have nothing to do with him anymore! He should face the consequences of his actions himself!

“You should go after him and do what you will with him! You know, we can even help you take him down if you need it!”

Having heard that, Frank and Yvonne exchanged a wary glance. They could tell that the malice in Tanya’s gaze was real–she truly wanted Ashton dead.

Frank hesitated briefly before demanding, “Where is Ashton? Go get him right now! He will be the first to pay!”

He realized that avoiding a feud with the rapidly ascending Summit Group was a pragmatic win for Emerson Group. Summit Group had gained momentum, and Roxy’s influence was expanding, so challenging them now was no longer easy,

“Ashton is staying right across the street, in the Langley residence! You should go look for him over there and make him pay in blood! If you do, the Sloans will be grateful to the Emersons!” Tanya exclaimed with barely contained excitement.

She was consumed by the desire to witness Ashton’s complete and painful downfall, so much so that she even dreamed about it.

Frank and Yvonne exchanged a glance and nodded simultaneously. They commanded their people to lay siege to the Langley residence, yelling, “Your blood debt is due, Ashton! You’d better stop cowering inside and come out right now!”

Melody was huddled inside the villa, shaking uncontrollably, as she was the only one there. “How does Ashton manage to invite this kind of absolute madness!”

“You command my presence, huh? I’m here right now! Do you still insist on the blood debt?” Ashton’s voice thundered across the surroundings.

In the meantime, forces from Noir Bar, the Holt Crew, the Gale Assembly, Evermore Group, Yorkshore Group, and Christian’s Medical Alliance appeared in unison. There was a legion of experts gathering behind Ashton, their killing intent surging like a tidal wave.
