With just a single command from Flint, the entire Grandcrest Estate seemed to shake.
“Hurry up and release me, Ashton! You’re a goner now!” Hazel cried out in joy.
After this, she would convince Flint to let Ashton live, so that she could make him her dog. She was determined to humiliate and torture him as much as possible to make up for all the humiliation she had to endure today.
Rhonda exhaled in relief as well. She’d been genuinely afraid that Flint would let Ashton leave with her.
But just before things could get ugly, a crisp voice rang out from outside the estate. “I’ve come for Ashton, Mr. Vance. Kindly release him.”
“Who is it?” Flint snarled, his gaze darkening.
Few people in Javonbury would dare ask him to release someone.
Soon, his trusted subordinate came rushing over to report in a hushed voice, “Sir! The Northern Troops are outside, led by Kayla Clarkson, the granddaughter of Lawrence Clarkson, the leader of the Legion!”
“The Legion!”
Flint’s eyelid twitched. What he feared the most was happening after all.
Staring at Ashton, Flint snarled, “You came prepared, Mr. Gray.”
“Thanks for the compliment, Mr. Vance,” Ashton replied with a smile. “Do you still want to take me down? Go on. Give the command then. I’m sure that, with your means and abilities, you can take on the Legion’s Northern Troops.”
Flint clenched his fists, his veins bulging. A murderous intent radiated from him. But soon, he composed himself and waved at the others, saying, “Let him leave!”
Instantly, the experts backed away, clearing a path for Ashton.
“Dad! How can you let Ashton leave! I don’t want to go with him! I-” Another sharp slap across Hazel’s face cut off her screams.
“You don’t seem to know your place yet,” Ashton remarked cruelly. “You’re my servant now–my woman. You need to obey my command. If you dare act out of turn again, you’d be getting more than just a few slaps.”
His eyes flashed darkly as he glared imposingly at Hazel. Her body shuddered, and her legs nearly gave way. She was so terrified that she cowered in his arms, too scared to speak again.
Ashton seemed so terrifying that she was pressured into submission.
Rhonda had to swallow the words on the tip of her tongue as well, allowing Ashton’s hand to continue roaming over her delicate skin. Every inch of her body burned with discomfort, but there was another feeling as well. Either way, she dared not try to fight it.
“You’re a lot more docile now, Rhonda,” Ashton remarked with a smile as he patted her on the face.
Biting her lip, she turned away.
Moments later, Ashton started walking again, holding both women tightly as he sauntered out of Grandcrest Estate.

As he was passing Flint, he stopped and met the latter’s dark, unreadable gaze.
“Take my advice, Mr. Vance. If you wish to live out the remainder of your life in peace, relinquish your authority and find yourself some quiet haven to hide in while you await the end of your days,” he said.
“Do you know that those who play with fire often end up dying, Ashton?” Flint said, his tone unmistakably murderous.
“It remains to be seen who’s the one who dies. Anyway, that’s all I have to say, Mr. Vance. Your decision will determine your fate. I’ll be sure to pay a visit again next time,” Ashton said with a smug chuckle before leaving with the two women.
“Dad, are you just going to let him leave like that?” Clive questioned, his fists clenched in indignation.
Ivan chimed in worriedly, “Dad, if Ashton leaves like this, your
