Ashton wrapped an arm around her again and chuckled. “What makes you think that what you’ve seen of me isn’t just the tip of the iceberg, either? Just don’t forget the bet we made.”

Scoffing, Rhonda could do nothing but let him keep taking advantage of her.

“You can stop now,” Ashton called out to Hazel, who was now scantily clad. “You still remember our bet, right?”

Ashton exhaled in relief. He was worried Flint would end up backing down like a coward. Chuckling, he commented, “Guess the Drakell technique is very tempting for the Sage.”

“You’re really not scared at all?” Rhonda asked when she found that Ashton wasn’t the least bit worried.

“What’s there to be scared of? It’s you two who need to prepare yourself for the bloody slaughter you’re about to witness. Don’t get scared out of your wits when it happens,” Ashton said.

A series of swooshing sounds rang out as multiple silhouettes began closing in on the brightly lit villa.

“Surround the place! Make sure not even a fly gets out!” Burt instructed icily.

He was one of Flint’s most powerful death squad assassins, and it was his duty to carry out all of Flint’s orders without question. Flint had taken him in when he was five years old, and ever since then, he owed Flint his life.
