Rhonda wisely kept her mouth shut. Otherwise, Ashton would just seize the chance to cop a feel again.

Ashton’s gaze shifted. He looked down at the figures of the death squad below before finally focusing on Burt.
Chuckling, he called out, “The Sage really did put in quite a bit of effort this time. Considering the number of experts he sent after me, it goes to show he’s taking me seriously.
“But if you want me to kneel and surrender, you’d better make sure you actually have the ability to make me do it.
“You’re alone, Ashton. Even if you’re a transcendent realm expert, you’ll run out of inner energy eventually. You’re doomed to end up in our hands today, so don’t even bother putting up a futile resistance,” Burt shot back coldly.
He knew that Ashton had reached the transcendent realm as well. If they fought head–on, he was confident he could take Ashton down, but many of the death squad assassins would most likely be killed or severely injured in the process.
“Don’t be so sure about that.”
Excitement flickered through Ashton’s eyes. With a sweep of his arm, the Culling Formation he’d prepared in advance was activated.
In an instant, wisps of dark energy wove together across the sky. With the villa as the center, a massive net formed overhead, completely encasing Burt and the 100 death squad assassins.”
“What’s this?” Burt cried out in shock.
He felt his heart sink as he looked up and sensed streams of murderous energy strong enough to make even him shudder.
“This is the Culling Formation. It’s a gift I prepared specifically for all of you! Do you like it?” Ashton asked with a hearty snicker.
Putting his arms around Rhonda and Hazel, he continued arrogantly, “Since you came here to kill me, I’m sure you’re also ready to be killed by me, right?”
Ashton’s gaze hardened, dark flames flickering in his eyes. Wisps of murderous inner energy shot out of him, pouring straight into the core of the deadly array.
In a flash, the Culling Formation was complete, with Burt and the 100 death squad assassins completely within its
range.
“A deadly array?”
Burt’s fists clenched. At last, he realized that something was wrong. This was a trap!
“See if we can get out of it,” he said grimly.
One of the death squad assassins swiftly sprinted forward, only to bounce back against the barrier of the array. Rooted to the spot, he exclaimed in shock, “The deadly array has sealed off the space! We can only get out of here if we destroy it!”
Burt’s brows furrowed tightly. He had some knowledge of such arrays, but he had never seen one this foreboding before.
“Get to work! Take down Ashton and break his limbs!” he swiftly commanded.

Immediately, the trained assassins broke off into multiple teams and came at Ashton from different directions, moving at incredible speed. They wanted to put an end to the fight as quickly as possible.
But the moment they closed in, flashes of dark light erupted in the air, each one rushing toward one of the assassins with targeted precision and murderous force.
The dark streaks tore through the air, sending chills down everyone’s spines.
“What’s that!”
“Damn it! I can’t avoid it!”
The assassins froze, horrified to find that they were sitting ducks. There was no way for them to avoid the attack. All they could do was try to defend against it.
Rumbling sounds thundered as the murderous energy from the Culling Formation forced the assassins back. Some of the weaker ones were pierced through the heart, their lifeless bodies collapsing onto pools of their own blood
The stench of blood filled the air.
More and more flashes of dark murderous energy from the array formed up above, like dragons locking in on their targets yet again.
Burt and the remaining assassins were all overwhelmed with terror.
“Welcome to the hell I created for you,” Ashton called out.
Grabbing Rhonda by the jaw, he planted a kiss on her lips before saying, “Is it not more tempting to give yourself to me than the Sage?”
