Rhonda’s lips trembled. She instinctively tried to pull back, but Ashton held her tight. The more she struggled, the closer their bodies became.

A muffled moan rang out. After a long struggle, she finally gave up. Her body felt even more sensitive now.

Furious, she glared at Ashton. He was,far more domineering than she could ever have imagined! She could sense that he considered her nothing more than a prize to be conquered. It was just a game to him.

A wave of humiliation swept over her.

But in the end, all she could do was sigh helplessly. As her eyes flickered over to the bloodshed outside the villa, her awe and fear of Ashton deepened further.

Inside the villa, the atmosphere was suggestive, but outside, it was a hellish battlefield.

Hazel watched as one by one, Flint’s death squad assassins fell from the sky, lying limp in pools of blood.

Even as her fear of Ashton intensified, deep down, she began to feel a sense of awe for him. She revered the powerful, and he was now fatally attractive to her.

Pursing her lips, she mumbled, “You’re never going to get your hands on me, Ashton. The people my father sent over certainly won’t be here to kill me. They’re here to save me!”

Howls of agony echoed in the night.

Within the Culling Formation, flashes of dark light shot around, filled with murderous energy. A pool of blood had gathered on the ground, flowing downward.

The pile of bodies kept growing.

Anyone weaker than an SS–ranked expert couldn’t withstand the power of the deadly array. Even an SS–ranked expert could only barely defend himself against it. If more flashes of light rained down together, they’d be forced to retreat as well.

The death toll kept climbing. Soon, over 30 of them had been taken out.

Burt was visibly panicked. Howling in anger, he formed a barrier of inner energy and tried to break out of the array to kill Ashton. As long as Ashton was taken out, the deadly array would fall apart as well.

But whenever he even tried to take a step closer to Ashton, a shower of dark light would rain down on him, attacking him relentlessly until he was forced to back away again. He’d never felt as furious and frustrated as he did now.

“Gather together, all of you! Do your best to stay alive. It takes a great deal of spiritual energy to maintain a deadly array of this scale. There’s no way he can keep it up for long!” Burt declared.

With a twisted expression, he stared fixedly at Ashton before continuing with a wild grin, “Once the array runs out of spiritual energy, we’ll grind Ashton’s bones to dust!”

Quickly, the remaining assassins closed in together, pooling their strength to try to withstand the attacks from the Culling Formation.

But to their horror, the flashes of light that had previously been scattered now converged, forming an even more terrifying torrent of murderous energy.

“The array is weakening! It’ll run out of spiritual energy soon! Hang in there a little longer!” Burt howled, feeling a crushing ache in his heart.
