Tanya was in no state to rant over these matters. The pain in her stomach intensified. It felt like millions of ants were gnawing on her. It was such unbearable agony!

“Roxy, call Ashton right now. Maybe he’ll change his mind if you plead with him.”

“I already asked him for the medication, but he refused!”

Renee’s expression fell. “That has to be because he’s upset, Roxy. You two have only filed the divorce paperwork. There’s still a month left before it’s finalized. Everything will be fine as long as you hurry up and call off the divorce.

Ian hesitated for a moment before nodding and giving Tanya a strong painkiller. Once a massive dose of the painkiller entered her system, her expression finally relaxed somewhat.

“Ashton’s trying to kill me!” Tanya screeched.

“Mom! Ashton was the one who treated your stomach disorder. How can you blame him now…”

“Are you part of this family or not, Renee? Why do you keep defending an outsider?” Tanya fumed.

“Roxy, find me another doctor, but at the same time, try to get the old prescription from Ashton. However, you must never get back together with him!”

“I got it, Mom.”

After taking a deep breath, Tanya snarled, “If I ever see that Ashton again, I’ll give him hell to pay!”

The sun was starting to set. After Tanya finally fell into a fitful sleep, Roxy stepped out of the room, looking quite exhausted.

“But I want to be with you tonight. Please just fulfill this one small wish of mine. After all, I just got back to the country,” Calvin pleaded, his face full of tender affection.
