Calvin wasn’t about to pass up an opportunity like tonight. He’d already prepared the restaurant, the flowers, the wine, and even the hotel suite.

From the moment he saw Roxy upon returning to the country, he made up his mind to win her over and claim her for himself. He was also keen to have his way with her in bed, forcing her to tell him who was better–him or Ashton.

Just envisioning that made Calvin stare at Roxy with even more passion, his heart leaping with excitement.

He’d known all along that he was Roxy’s first love. Who could refuse a request from their first love?

Roxy looked hesitant. Though it’d been ten years since she and Calvin last met, he’d left a lasting impact on her heart as her first love. Even to this day, she felt a spark for him.

As it was, she’d gone to the airport to pick him up because she’d thought about the possibility of starting something up with him now.

“Alright, then. Let’s have dinner together,” Roxy said.

In the end, she couldn’t bear to refuse him.

“Wonderful!” Calvin said gently. “That’s the best news I’ve heard all day.”

He was gleeful on the inside. All he needed was for Roxy to agree to have dinner with him. When the time came, he’d make sure she had a few strong drinks before asking her to escort him back to the hotel.

Once everything proceeded as planned, wouldn’t it be the most natural thing in the world for them to give in to their emotions and end up in bed?

Calvin was already fantasizing about the rosy future once he made Roxy his and took over Summit Group from her.

“Let’s go,” he said with a gentlemanly smile.

“Roxy! Celia’s missing!”

At that very moment, Renee flew down the stairs and cried out in alarm, “I didn’t see any sign of Celia in her room upstairs. Did you guys see her anywhere?”

“How could Celia go missing? Hasn’t she been in her room the whole time?” Roxy exclaimed, her face turning ghostly pale.

“Maybe she’s hiding somewhere to play hide–and–seek with us,” Calvin suggested with a frown.

He was about to go on a date with Roxy! Why did something have to go wrong now?

“Celia wouldn’t do that! She’s always been a well–behaved child!”

“We need to check the security footage,” Roxy said.

She quickly pulled up the footage from the security cameras in the villa and finally saw what happened. While the rest of them had been busy arguing, the five–year–old Celia had snuck out of the house with an overstuffed

“Why would Celia leave the house alone? Where would she be going?” Roxy exclaimed. She began to feel rather panicked.

“Maybe she just went out to play. There’s no need to worry too much about it. Kids are all like that. She’ll return once she’s had her fun,” Calvin said.

He didn’t care about Celia’s safety at all. The only thing on his mind was to seal his relationship with Roxy by getting her into bed with him tonight.

“You shut up! If anything happens to Celia, I’ll definitely come after you!” Renee snarled as she glared viciously at Calvin.

If it weren’t for Calvin, the homewrecker, Roxy wouldn’t have gotten into a conflict with Ashton and ended up filing for divorce, and Celia wouldn’t be missing.

“That’s enough! We should all head out and look for Celia. Check all the security cameras around the house,” Roxy instructed, her chest tight with anxiety. She really hoped that nothing bad happened to Celia.

“Roxy, do you think Celia might have gone off to look for Ashton?” Renee suggested, her eyes brightening.

She thought it was quite possible.

Roxy looked at the security footage. When she saw Celia’s tiny figure cautiously slipping out through the door, she remembered something. Earlier during the day, Celia had told her she wanted to see Irene and Ashton, but she had refused Celia’s request.

Expression hardening, Roxy made a call to the person she’d sent to Paramount Hospital to watch over Irene.

Since Irene did get admitted to the hospital because of her situation with Ashton, it’d have been unseemly for her to pay no attention to Irene’s condition at all.

“Yes, Ms. Sloan?”

“Have you seen Celia at the hospital?”

“Nope. The only people in the hospital room are Madam Lowe, Ashton, and… Sylvia. They’re talking right now. What’s this about Celia?”

“It’s nothing. Keep an eye on Ashton for me. And if you see any sign of Celia, let me know immediately!”

“Got it.”

After ending the call, Roxy shook her head. “Celia isn’t at Paramount Hospital. Where else could she have gone?”

“Roxy, why don’t we make a police report?” Renee said. Something about the situation gave her a bad feeling.

Calvin couldn’t stop himself from chiming in, “Is that necessary? It hasn’t even been an hour since she went missing. It’s not serious enough that we need to call the police.”

“Call the police at once! Robert, get in touch with Captain Harry Gibson. Have him check the footage from the security cameras on both sides of the road. We must find Celia and bring her back!” Roxy instructed grimly.

Nodding, Robert assured her, “Don’t fret too much, Roxy, I’ll call Captain Gibson right away!”

“Roxy, why don’t we tell Ashton about this?” Rence said.

Roxy firmly shook her head. “What’s the use of telling him? He’ll just seize this chance to berate me!”

She’d already been on the receiving end of Ashton’s cold and indifferent attitude several times today. She was far from willing to get rebuked by him again!
