Kenneth still had feelings for Jane. He planned to transfer his shares, then take her and Bradley away to live a carefree life.

“Shelly, please beg Dr. Gray for me. I promise Jane and Brad won’t fight you for the family business. We can leave Javonbury…” Kenneth begged.

Sheila hesitated, feeling a twinge of compassion. But just as she was about to plead with Ashton, he let out a mocking laugh.

Kenneth lowered his head and said heavily, “That’s something I truly owe Shelly an apology for.”

“At the end of the day, it’s just old–fashioned misogyny. But do you really think you got everything you wanted?

Kenneth couldn’t tell where Ashton was going with this.

Ashton smiled mockingly. “Mr. Beldon, do you honestly think Bradley is your biological son? Have you ever considered the possibility that Jane cheated on you, had a child with another man, and did it specifically to get her hands on Beldon Group’s assets?”

“Stop that nonsense! Go to hell!” All of a sudden, Jane snapped and lunged at Ashton, wanting to strangle him.

With a thud, he kicked her away, sending her crashing into the wall.

“Mom!” Bradley helped her up and shot Ashton a death glare.

“That’s impossible!” Kenneth’s expression darkened, and he struggled to his feet while shaking his head.

“Is it really impossible? Don’t tell me you think Jane married you because she was in love with you, Mr. Beldon.” Ashton snorted. “When I was suppressing the malevolent energy in your body just now, I also read your lineage.

“I can say with certainty that you and Bradley are not related by blood at all. If you don’t believe me, you can ask our divine doctor and the other renowned doctors here to test it on the spot.”

Kenneth hesitated.

“No!” Jane panicked. “Ashton Gray! And you, Sheila, you bitch! Why are you trying to ruin everything I have? You’re just like your whore of a mother! You both deserve to die!”

Jane grabbed Bradley and tried to bolt from the Beldon residence.

Their actions already made Ashton’s words ring true. The renowned Kenneth Beldon really had been cheated on; he’d raised another man’s child and believed he was his own flesh and blood. If this got out, Kenneth would be a laughingstock.

Ashton had initially planned to warn Kenneth privately about this for Sheila’s sake, but Kenneth had brought this upon himself.

“Seize them!” Kenneth roared, his face contorting in rage.

He felt like his heart had been torn to shreds.

With a rustle of movement, the Beldon family’s hired enforcers rushed out and seized Jane and Bradley.

“Why did you do it?” Kenneth demanded an answer as he stared hard at Jane, ignoring the malevolent energy raging in his body.

At first, she put on a wounded look, trying to win his sympathy. When she sensed his iciness, her expression twisted, and she laughed viciously. “Why? Because you couldn’t have children anymore, but I still wanted to marry into the Beldon family and get my hands on Beldon Group!

“So I used the fact that you craved a son, found someone else, and had one. Weren’t you thrilled and in utter bliss back then?”
