“What are we trying to do? Isn’t It obvious?” Whitney sneered. “From now on, we won’t be obeying the Sage’s commands any longer, and we won’t be under his control either. Henceforth, we work for Ashton, and we’re all his women!
“Have I made that clear enough for you?”
Elise chimed in curtly, “The Sage will no longer have any power over Blossom Hall!”
“Why, you two-”
Emmett was beside himself with fury. He poured all of his strength into chanting the incantations once again, desperately trying to activate the Heart–Devouring Parasite. But no matter how hard he recited them, nothing happened.
The women no longer succumbed to the parasite’s power.
Rudy tried to blow the whistle again, but Elise was perfectly unaffected, just as she’d been earlier.
Only then were they forced to accept the truth–the parasites that Flint and Cornelius planted in the women of Blossom Hall no longer had any effect on them. They’d lost their ability to keep Blossom Hall under their thumb.
This was indeed a majorly troubling situation.
Forcing himself to stay calm, Rudy asked in a trembling voice, “Was it Ashton who got rid of the Heart- Devouring Parasite inside your bodies?”
“That’s right. I did it,” Ashton piped up curtly before smirking, “Have you said your last words yet? If you’re done, it’s time for you to die.”
“Y–You want to kill us?”
Emmett thought he’d misheard Ashton. Furious, he roared, “Do you have any idea who my father is? He’s Cornelius Slater, the head of the Jalunese Martial Academy! If anything happens to me, none of you will remain alive for much longer either!”
you
know what you’re saying, Mr. Gray?” Rudy questioned grimly as well. “If something happens to us here at Blossom Hall, none of you will live to see tomorrow’s sunrise. Now get out of the way and let us leave!”
Rudy knew he had to give Flint a complete account of everything that occurred today. It was clear that Ashton had his eyes on all of the factions under Flint’s command. Blossom Hall was probably just the start.
He was worried that Ashton would make another move soon.
“I know full well what I said. I said that you two are about to die,” Ashton retorted before stepping forward. Dark flashes of lightning crackled between his fingers as he growled, “Get a taste of the Lightning Bolt!”
It sounded like a dragon’s roar echoing throughout Blossom Hall as Ashton’s mighty and lethal punch crashed right down on the crowd of Rudy’s head.
Rudy’s eyes widened in horror. He never thought Ashton would have the reckless audacity to kill him right in public.

With his life on the line, he raised his arms in a protective stance and drew upon all the inner energy he had to form the strongest defensive barrier he could.
However, in just the blink of an eye, Ashton’s punch shattered all of his defenses with a crushing force that cracked his skull right open.
As the blood splattered everywhere, Rudy fell to the floor, completely lifeless.
Witnessing the horrific scene up close, Emmett was so terrified that he wet himself. As he stumbled backward, he stammered, “Y–You… Don’t kill me! I beg you! Please don’t kill me!”
Sneering Ashton raised his arm again.
“Calm down, Mr. Gray!”
Elise hurried forward to stop Ashton, reminding him, “If Emmett dies, Cornelius will stop at nothing to come after you. The Sage will also have a legitimate reason to take you down. I’m afraid things won’t end well.”
“What’s there to fear? I’ll let the Sage and that Jalunese bastard come at me tonight. Let’s see what they can do. to me! This is also the perfect opportunity for me to make it known that Blossom Hall is now under my protection. No one can push any one of you around anymore!
“From now on, you won’t have to live in fear. I won’t let my women suffer in any way!
Eyes flashing murderously, Ashton started approaching Emmett again.
