Chapter 504
“Jay! What nonsense are you spouting?”

Samantha’s face flushed red as she hollered furiously, “There’s nothing between Ashton and me! I have my reasons for signing with Evermore Media! I hope you can trust me instead of accusing and doubting me like this!”
“But how can I trust you?” Jay rebuked, his fists tightening.
Right at that moment, Ashton suddenly stepped forward. He walked right past Jay and stopped next to Samantha.
“It’s time for us to leave,” he said with a grin.
Samantha threw a disappointed glance at Jay, then stood up to leave with Ashton.
Her chills syndrome could finally be healed–there was no way she would give up now.
Once a year had passed, she would immediately terminate her contract with Evermore Media.
As they were leaving, Ashton stopped in his tracks as he passed by Roxy.
Suppressing the intense stirring of the Drakell technique within him, he smirked mockingly and teased, “Roxy Sloan, do you see this? Soon, Summit Media will perish in my hands. I never go back on my word.”
“Even without Samantha, Summit Media will not be ruined so easily. Our foundation’s too solid for that! You’ve overestimated yourself, Ashton,” Roxy forced herself to stay upright and retorted assertively.
“You’re right, but this is merely the first step. I’ve prepared a huge surprise for you tomorrow morning. That’s when Summit Media will suffer the fatal blow, so you’d better be ready. Have a great night being consumed by
dread!”
Ashton put on a faint smile that resembled the Grim Reaper’s.
Roxy froze as a wave of fear washed over her. She knew Ashton well enough to know that his words were never empty threats.
But what could possibly pose as a fatal blow to Summit Media? Just how many other tricks did Ashton still have up his sleeve?
With clenched fists, Roxy forced herself to calm down as she answered in a low voice, “Very well, I’ll be waiting. I’m just afraid you might make yourself a fool.”
“You’ll find out first thing tomorrow morning,” Ashton responded.
He shot a glance at Jay, who was seething, and sneered in disdain. Then, he left with Sylvia and Samantha.
After stepping out of the hotel lobby, Samantha turned to Ashton with a distasteful expression and questioned, Why did you have to provoke Ms. Sloan and Jay?”
“That’s my business. You don’t need to know,” Ashton replied nonchalantly.
Samantha let out a scoff. “Well, now that I’ve signed with Evermore Media, can you start curing my illness?”
“Of course.”
Ashton glanced at Samantha’s alluring Aether constitution and sensed the Drakell technique stirring within him. He increasingly felt like this was all fated.

Somehow, it seemed as though destiny was always in Ashton’s favor, sending compatible women with special constitutions his way and leading them to form some sort of affiliation with him, one way or another.
“Ashton, I’ll wait for you in the office,” Sylvia said, flashing him a soft smile.
Ashton nodded, then turned to address Samantha. “Where should we do it? I need a secluded space.”
Samantha stayed silent for a while before saying, “We can go to my place…”
Shortly after, Samantha arrived at her apartment with Ashton.
Upon entering the unit, a faint fragrance wafted through the air.
“How will you cure my illness?” Samantha asked impatiently.
“It’s pretty simple. Take off your top, and lie here facing down. I’ll give you acupuncture to slowly draw out the cold energy inside you. The whole process consists of three sessions. Today will be the first,” Ashton explained indifferently.
“What? I have to take off my clothes?”
Mouth agape, Samantha stared dubiously at Ashton, adding, “Are you trying to take advantage of me on purpose? I do have a boyfriend, you know?”
“Jay Millburn? I don’t think you’ll be dating him anymore after his dirt gets leaked tomorrow morning. You should be glad that you never slept with him. Or else, even I wouldn’t want to touch you,” Ashton uttered flatly.
“What are you talking about? What dirt?” Samantha frowned in confusion.
“You’ll find out tomorrow. Anyway, are you taking off your shirt or not? Do you want your chills syndrome to be cured? If you find it inconvenient, then I’ll just leave.”
Ashton had no patience to explain things to Samantha. Even if she possessed the Aether constitution, which was most compatible with the Drakeborne lineage, he wasn’t going to let her boss him around.
Biting her lip, Samantha hesitated for a while. Then, she began unbuttoning her top.
Almost instantly, Ashton was greeted with the view of a fair bosom.
