Chapter 51
After comforting Roxy, Eunice approached Hector, who had a grave look on his face. She found him staring distractedly at Erasmus‘ short, decapitated body.
“Who… killed them all, Captain Morrison?” Eunice asked.
Earlier on, she’d already prepared herself for the worst. Ever since the day she joined the Legion, she’d accepted the possibility of dying on the job.
But when she opened her eyes, what greeted her was a scene of pure carnage. Every single member of the Wraiths was dead–and they had all been executed in one strike.
Hector shook his head. “I don’t know, but one thing’s for sure–the person who did it is an S–ranked expert.”
“What did you say?” Eunice exclaimed in shock.
“Even the high master was killed in a single blow, and there’s no sign of him putting up a fight at all. Only an S- ranked expert is capable of inner energy manipulation!” Hector explained.
He had a look of awe as he talked about the S–ranked expert
“Captain Morrison… Do you have any idea who it could be? Could it be one of our seniors from the Legion?” Eunice guessed.
Hector shook his head again. “I checked with the Legion already. No S–ranked legionnaires had come to Javonbury. It can only be a local grandmaster. Regardless, we owe this grandmaster our lives. If the opportunity ever comes along, I will repay the grandmaster for saving my life!”
Even now, Hector was still gripped by a lingering sense of fear in his heart.
Without the intervention of the mysterious grandmaster, not only would they have been sunk to the bottom of the sea, but the dozens of abducted children would also have faced certain doom.
Most importantly, it was great that a criminal organization like the Wraiths had been wiped out in its entirety! Even the Legion would’ve considered this a feat of the highest order.
“Either way, let’s just head back first.”
Hector was quite severely injured. He needed to rest for some time.
“Captain Morrison! Captain Clark! We’ve checked the identities of all the taken children. They’re indeed the ones who’ve gone missing in Javonbury recently. We’ve informed their parents to pick them up at the police station, but

“But what?” Hector asked.
Harry glanced at Roxy before muttering quietly, “Ms. Sloan’s daughter, Celia Gray, isn’t among the children.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“I’m absolutely certain,” Harry confirmed with a grim expression. He didn’t know how to explain the situation to Roxy.
“Captain Clark! Where’s my daughter, Celia? I looked all around, but I didn’t see her anywhere,” Roxy said in a trembling voice.
“Ms. Sloan, please don’t worry just yet-”
“How do you expect me not to worry? I—”

Roxy was on the verge of a meltdown when her phone rang
“What is it, Renee?” she asked after taking the call.
“Roxy! Ashton brought Celia back-”
“Are you serious?”
“Of course I am. I told you from the start that Ashton would definitely rescue Celia! He always keeps his promises!

“I want to hear Celia’s voice,” Roxy demanded, still feeling rather scared.
“Mommy…”
After hearing Celia’s voice, Roxy finally broke down in tears. She could finally rest her worries.
“Renee, pass the phone to Ashton.”
“What do you want?”
“Ashton! Why could you take Celia away without my permission?” Roxy questioned with a furious expression.
She assumed that Ashton must’ve heard about what happened and came to the East Port to take Celia away beforehand without her knowledge. It never even crossed her mind to consider whether he’d been the one who saved Celia and her.
