Chapter 512
Robert’s decision to reach out first was a calculated attempt to make amends and improve his strained relationship with Ashton.
Ashton’s expression, however, remained indifferent. He shot a glance at Robert and stated coldly, “I’m not on close terms with you anymore.”
He directly walked away after saying that.
“Ashton is so full of himself! Roxy will definitely find a much more powerful man in the future! You’ll be nothing to me then! You’ll be the one groveling before me, Ashton!” Robert spat as Ashton walked away. He then turned back to his circle of low–life friends and drowned himself in debauchery.
Ashton headed into the depths of the Blossom Hall and quickly crossed paths with Elise.
She wore a blue–and–white floral strapless top, with her long hair falling over her left shoulder, revealing a smooth expanse of fair skin that shone like a flawless jewel–a masterpiece one could never tire of admiring.
Elise shot a flirtatious glance at Ashton with her Bewitching Gaze, her every movement dripping with charm.
It was pure, unadulterated seduction, and it immediately fanned the flames of the wildfire raging inside Ashton.
“It’s actually a top–tier constitution–the Bewitching constitution!” Ashton’s heart pounded wildly. He felt the Drakell technique within him roaring to life the moment he met Elise’s Bewitching Gaze, filling him with an uncontrollable urge to claim Elise, who possessed the Bewitching constitution.
Elise felt the almost palpable desire radiating from Ashton. She trembled ever so slightly before she broke into a captivating smile, and, swaying her slender waist, she sauntered charmingly to Ashton’s side.
She then rested her slender, fair hand on his shoulder and teased, “Your breathing seems a little hurried, sir.”
She was deliberately trying to provoke him.
Ashton grabbed Elise’s slender waist in one swift motion, and as he took in her mesmerizing features, he murmured gravely, “You’re deliberately tempting me, Elise. You’re not worried that I’ll put you in your place right now, huh?”
Elise batted her eyes with feigned innocence, clearly having mastered the art of handling Ashton.
She then let out a soft, melodious laugh before saying, “You promised me that you’d bring me the Sage’s head as a gift, sir. You also said you’d claim me only on the night you become the ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury. You surely won’t go back on your word, right?”
Ashton’s eyes twitched slightly, a pang of regret striking him over the promise he had made. Elise was acting without the slightest bit of restraint because she had read him perfectly–she knew he wouldn’t break his promises.
“Where is Whitney?” Ashton asked impatiently, fueled by the furnace of desire raging within him.
Elise gestured toward the room upstairs and replied, “Whitney has been waiting for you ever since she heard you were coming.”

“You’ll belong to me in seven days,” Ashton said, reaching out to hook his fingers under Elise’s chin. He then stated firmly, “I’ll make sure you won’t be able to laugh like this anymore when that day comes!”
“I’ll be looking forward to it,” Elise murmured, her stunning eyes glimmering and her beauty utterly intoxicating.
Ashton drew in a deep breath, forcing himself to avoid Elise’s Bewitching Gaze as he didn’t want to let her keep the upper hand. He swore to himself that one day, he’d have her groveling at his feet, pleading for him to stop.
He hurried to Whitney’s room, and the second he pushed the door open, he was hit by a wave of an intoxicating, exotic perfume. He had just closed the door behind him when a soft, delicate body pressed itself against him.
He turned, gazing at the ethereal Whitney with a hint of surprise. He found out that Whitney possessed the Aqueous constitution based on the Compendium of Special Constitutions–a constitution that had a soothing, tempering effect on his Drakeborne lineage.
“Did you miss me, darling?” Whitney asked in a voice so enchanting that it was dizzying. She was like a blossom at its most radiant moment, exuding a beauty that was impossible to look away from.
“I’ve missed you so much!”
Ashton’s suppressed desire exploded at once. He pounced on Whitney like a hungry predator and pinned her down, and soon, the room was filled with a passion that defied words.
