“You won’t blame Elise and me, right, darling?” Whitney asked, gazing up at Ashton with eyes filled with affection. She put on such a pitiful, endearing expression that no one could find fault with her.

Whitney and Elise were absolute vixens, capable of ensnaring any man’s soul with a single look.

“It was only a matter of time before something went wrong, especially given Robert’s overbearing nature. I had been covering for him more often than not in the past, so teaching him a lesson now is perfectly fine,” Ashton said with a furrowed brow, having no intention of blaming Elise or Whitney.

It was just that Whitney and Elise had ulterior motives–to provoke Roxy and retaliate on Ashton’s behalf.

Elise broke into a radiant smile when Robert brought up Roxy. She brushed back her hair and said with a chuckle, “You should go ahead and give Roxy a call then.

“I’d like to see if she has what it takes to get you out of this mess and save you from losing your limbs! I’m quite curious about this sister of yours, Mr. Sloan!”

She pursed her lips after saying that. She had dressed up specifically today to measure herself against Roxy–to make that woman realize just how exceptional the man she divorced truly was and to show her exactly how foolish she had been.

She also intended to use this opportunity to teach this loud–mouthed Robert a lesson he wouldn’t forget.

“I’ll call her right now!” Robert was genuinely terrified by the overwhelming atmosphere of the Blossom Hall. He had a strong premonition that if he couldn’t find someone to settle this matter today, he would really have his limbs broken and become a cripple.

He knew that Blossom Hall’s reputation in the criminal underworld of Javonbury was never just talk, after all.

“It’s me, Roxy! I’m in deep trouble, so you have to get to Blossom Hall as fast as you can! If you don’t make it in time, they’re going to end me, Roxy!” Robert hurriedly blurted out everything that had happened and pleaded with Roxy.

It was about 15 minutes later when Roxy and Damian arrived at Blossom Hall.

She was dressed in a professional blazer with her hair up in a neat bun, and though her face showed traces of exhaustion, it did nothing to diminish her stunning beauty. She didn’t pale in comparison even when she stood beside Elise, the former most beautiful woman in Javonbury.

Yet, now that Ashton belonged to her, Elise was determined to prove she was the superior woman in every way. She wanted to stand up for Ashton and put these siblings in their place. She wanted Roxy to see Ashton for the brilliant, powerful man he really was and make her choke on her own regret.

She intended to deliver a resounding slap to Roxy’s face–an act of retribution she had been looking forward to for quite some time.

She puffed out her ample chest at that thought, a provocative smile playing on her lips. She then cast a brief, sidelong glance at Damian, who stood beside Roxy, and said with a smile, “I’ve heard so much about you, Ms. Sloan.”
