“Did the Sage’s men intercept Neil as well?” Ashton asked curiously.
It seemed he had underestimated Flint after all. The factions that were known to be under his command were only the tip of the
iceberg.
Raven shook his head. “I don’t know about that. That’s not part of our mission. Our mission is targeted solely at you.”
“In that case, I’ll have to send you all to your deaths. After all, I’m determined to make a killing by taking the Dominion Vanguard for everything it’s got.”
Ashton’s gaze hardened with a surge of bloodlust.
In an instant, Raven, Void, and Crag also began sporting hostile expressions. Following their plan, they split off into three ways, coordinating with the remaining 17 experts to trap Ashton at the very center.
“Just keep him occupied for as long as possible! Don’t try to duke it out with him, but of course, it’d be even better if we could kill him.”
“Understood! Ashton is nothing more than a cornered beast now anyway!”
“Things never end well for those who make an enemy of the Sage!”
“Unless Ashton has already surpassed the transcendent realm, he can’t possibly be our match. Move! Deal the first blow. Don’t give him any chance to gain the upper hand!”
“Get him!”
Amid the rain, the 20 experts from the Shadow Blade charged at Ashton.
But at that very instant, an incomparably terrifying and domineering force erupted from Ashton’s body, forming a surge of force that swept outward, crashing into the assassins. The air cracked with the deafening sound of the force gushing forth.
The 20 assassins were shocked to find that the force had been enough to knock them all back at the same time. Even the three transcendent realm experts were blasted back, stumbling several steps.
Their eyes filled with disbelief as their bodies trembled uncontrollably. They were now staring at him as if he were some kind of monster!
Raven gulped as sweat began beading along his forehead. “That surge of force just now. It’s got to be more than what a transcendent realm expert is capable of. Could it be… that you’re already a semi–divine realm expert?”
“Correct. I’ve reached the semi–divine realm.” Ashton chuckled before stretching lazily. “I’ve been deliberately hiding my aura, and ever since breaking into the semi–divine realm, I haven’t had a chance to fight at full strength. I didn’t expect you all to deliver yourselves right to my door.
“Congratulations. You’ll be the first group that gets to die under the might of my semi–divine realm cultivation.”
His tone was light and relaxed, but it sounded like a death sentence to Raven and the others. They shuddered, their hearts sinking in despair.
If they’d known that Ashton was a semi–divine realm expert, they never would’ve tried to get in his way. It was basically suicide!
They also thought of something else.
If Ashton was a semi–divine realm expert, Clay was certainly no match for him. Clay would be the one losing in the Apex Arena half an hour from now.
The Legion had laid out a trap for all of them! This was a blatant attempt to screw over the Dominion Vanguard and everyone associated with it!

Chapter 592
“Damn it! The signal has been jammed. Quick. We need to inform the Sage about this!” Raven said frantically.
He knew that Flint had placed a huge bet on Clay winning. The loss would be a catastrophic blow for Flint as well.
