Chapter 76
Kurt was the first to shout in spirited excitement, “Thank you, Mr. Gray!”
“Thank you, Mr. Gray!”
Everyone else quickly spoke up as well.
However, Felice had a frown on her face as she came up to Ashton and said quietly, “Mr. Gray, our cash flow is already extremely tight. If you give everyone a raise but the revenue doesn’t go up, it’ll only end up speeding up the club’s collapse…”
Glancing at Felice, Ashton said, “We now have enough hostesses and manpower. Soon, we’ll be resolving our crisis with the liquor supply, too. Are you saying that the club will still have problems running smoothly even despite all that?”
“It’ll run smoothly, of course, but the key issue right now is the liquor supply. It’s not that easy to resolve-” Just then, Isaac dashed in and reported, “Mr. Gray, Natalie York has stepped out of Summit Lounge!”
“Let’s go. It’s time for us to deal with the liquor supply problem,” Ashton said before leaving Evermore Club with Sylvia in tow.
Roxy and Calvin had personally escorted Natalie and Hank out of Summit Lounge. They were now chatting happily outside with bright smiles on their faces.
“I hope Summit Lounge’s partnership with Yorkshore Group will be a smooth success, Ms. York,” Roxy said.
“Yes, I hope for a successful partnership as well,” Natalie replied.
The two women shook hands.
“You don’t need to walk us any further, Ms. Sloan. Hank and I won’t intrude on you and your first love any longer, “Natalie said with a smile, though it was a little stiff.
Her head was throbbing in pain again. It felt like she was being stabbed with needles.
“When Roxy and I have our wedding, Ms. York, you must come and share a toast with us!” Calvin said happily.
Roxy’s brows creased ever so slightly when he said that.
“I most certainly will. Till next time, then.”
Natalie gritted her teeth through the pain as she prepared to get back into her car with Hank. However, when she turned around, she noticed that Ashton and Sylvia were standing behind them, blocking their path.
Furious to see Ashton again, Roxy snarled, “What the hell do you want, Ashton! Can you stop embarrassing yourself already!”
“Hah! You’re like a pesky little fly that just can’t be shooed off. I can’t believe how shameless you are. Are you here to beg for Ms. York’s forgiveness so that you can convince her to do business with Evermore Club again?
“If you knew this would happen, you shouldn’t have acted that way from the start!” Calvin scoffed as he eyed Ashton condescendingly.
He wanted nothing more than for Ashton to make a fool out of himself.
Natalie simply shot Ashton an icy glare before fixing her eyes on Sylvia. Her expression was tinged with fury as she questioned, “Ms. Langley, I’ve already made it very clear that I won’t be working with Evermore Club

anymore. What’s the meaning of this now?”
“Ms. York, Evermore Club is sincere about wanting to work with you. Perhaps you don’t know that-”
“That’s enough!” Hank interrupted, cutting Sylvia off with a sleazy smirk. “My cousin has made up her mind, Ms. Langley. You can save your breath. If you want my advice, I think you should prepare to shut down Evermore Club. At the very least, you can cut your losses short. However…”
He leaned in closer to Sylvia and muttered, “If you’re willing to spend the night with me and satisfy me, there’s still a possibility that Yorkshore Group might consider working with Evermore Club again. It all depends on whether you’re able to please me.”
As he spoke, he reached out to touch Sylvia’s face, but before he could even make any contact, Ashton gave him a resounding slap across the face.
