It took Roxy quite a while before she could snap out of her shock. Her expression was rather dark as she said, “I need a reason, Ms. York.”

“A reason?” Natalie repeated before giving it some thought. “Well, it’s because I’ve reached an agreement with Mr. Gray, so my only option is to make this difficult decision. I hope you can understand, Ms. Sloan.”

It really was Ashton’s doing!

Still, Roxy refused to accept this outcome. “What did Ashton offer you, Ms. York?”

“Nat! How can you make such a rash decision? Ashton’s nothing but a freeloader who leeches off women! Don’t be deceived by his sweet talk!” Hank insisted, getting quite panicked himself.

Just moments ago, Natalie had slapped him across the face for Ashton, and now she was canceling her cooperation with Summit Lounge for his sake. What was next? Was Ashton going to stick his hand into Yorkshore Group’s affairs, too?

Hank clenched his fists tight and lowered his head. Deep down inside, he swore he’d use the parasitic poison to torture Natalie until she begged for death. He would make her get on her knees and beg him.

He wanted to trample on the arrogant Natalie in the most ruthless way possible.

“Apologize to Mr. Gray!” Natalie commanded.

“Nat? What did you say?” Hank exclaimed, his head shooting back up. “I’m the only family you have left!”

“How is Mr. Gray a freeloader leeching off women? Since you misspoke, you should apologize for it! Do it now!” Natalie snapped coldly.

Hank’s expression kept shifting, but in the end, he forced back the hostility in his eyes. Lowering his head, he muttered to Ashton, “Sorry.”

“That’s more like it. From now on, you’d better learn to respect Mr. Gray,” Natalie said.

Turning to Roxy, she said with a faint smile, “Mr. Gray has offered me something that you can’t give me, Sloan.”

“Ms. York, is there truly no room for any further negotiation?” Roxy pressed, feeling extremely indignant about

the situation.

She’d put in a lot of effort into maintaining the partnership with Yorkshore Group. Did that still end up being not enough compared to Ashton spending just half an hour with Natalie?

Roxy turned ghostly pale at the taste of utter failure. This time, she didn’t have Ashton to rely on anymore.

“Ms. Sloan, I heard you divorced Ashton because you thought he wasn’t good enough for you?” Natalie abruptly asked out of curiosity.

Roxy’s head shot up. After looking at Natalie’s stunning face and Ashton’s sharp features, something clicked in her head.

Could it be that Natalie had fallen for Ashton?

That seemed like the only possible reason that would make Natalie forgo the partnership with her.
