Olivia’s eyes glinted with a chilling killing intent. She would have certainly killed Ashton if Queenie hadn’t been there.
She knew that the cultivation technique Roxy practiced was the Detachment Technique, which meant that once Ashton died, Roxy would be bound to sever her emotional attachments and achieve a clear state of mind. She could easily step into the otherworldly realm, let alone the divine realm.
“Hurry up and kill that good–for–nothing, Mother Shaw! He’s been pestering my precious daughter nonstop! He’ll certainly come back to cause us trouble in the future if he doesn’t die now!” Tanya snarled. She loathed Ashton intensely and wished for his immediate and painful demise.
“Daddy!” Celia looked at Ashton, her eyes glistening before tears rolled down her cheeks in quick succession.
“I won’t go looking for Daddy anymore, Mommy, so please don’t let anyone hurt him! He’s the best Daddy in the world!” Celia wiped away her tears and pleaded. She couldn’t allow Ashton to see her tears, as it would surely make him miserable and sad.
Roxy glanced at her precious daughter, Celia, then at Ashton, who appeared to be in a state of madness. She then sighed and said, “Let’s go, Mother Shaw!”
Upon hearing Roxy address her in such a manner, Olivia’s face lit up with satisfaction.
She nodded faintly with a smile and said, “It’s not the right time for us to clash with Queenie right now, so I’ll let Ashton live for now! I’ll make sure he’s dead for good if he dares to come and disturb your family again in the future!”
It was then that a large teleportation array emerged beneath Olivia’s feet, and strands of energy shot out and covered Roxy’s family. In an instant, the formation activated, and as the energy swirled, Olivia and Roxy’s family began to fade from view.
Ashton’s gaze had grown increasingly cold with killing intent. Dragon shadows layered over each other as he unleashed successive Sixfold Draconic Fists at one spot to crush the teleportation array.
He was bleeding from his hands, and the physical backlash became more terrifying. He was eventually soaked in blood–blood had streamed from his eyelids, and the torn flesh across his body had exposed bone beneath.
In that instant, a series of thunderous clangs erupted, causing the surrounding area to shake and Roxy’s entire family to sway.
“What exactly is that good–for–nothing trying to pull?” Tanya spat, continuing her tirade.
“Ashton…” Renee and Robert watched Ashton’s near–suicidal frenzy, their hearts tightening with anguish. They couldn’t bear to watch any longer, so they immediately turned their heads away.
Roxy looked straight into Ashton’s eyes and saw profound hatred and resentment buried there.
“How dare a mere nobody like you act so impudently!” Olivia looked at the shaking of her teleportation array. Her spiritual energy roared as a surge of surging power overflowed, turning into crashing waves that swept out from the formation and struck Ashton’s body.
In that instant, Ashton felt as if he were bearing a torrent of force weighing ten thousand tons that brought him to a sudden halt before sending him flying. He was like a leaf caught in a gale, unable to fight back.
He hit the ground with a heavy impact, his energy shattered and his breath coming in gasps. He clawed at the dirt, leaving streaks of blood as he struggled to rise. He had spent the last of his bloodline power, so his blood grew dull

and its circulation became sluggish.
“Ashton!” Kayla and Eunice hurried to support him at the same time. They looked on with pity, feeling a deep, heart–wrenching pain in their chests.
Eunice looked toward Roxy and hissed through gritted teeth, “You should just leave Celia here, Roxy! Your debts and grievances with Ashton are settled from now onward, and you will have nothing more to do with one another!”
