Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 348

“If you really can’t accept it, we don’t have to keep them around. Whatever makes you happy, we’ll do that…”

Suddenly, Wiona hurled her glass of juice straight at Jace’s face. The cold liquid splashed everywhere.

“Are you insane?”

Her face twisted with anger. “Shut up. Just shut up!”

“Am I just a puppet to you, Jace? Do you really think you can pull my strings and I’ll just dance to your tune?”

“I hate you. I hate you so much!” Her voice was shaking. “The moment I learned the truth, I wished I could’ve killed you myself.”

“All this time, I put on a show for you and your family, letting you all play me for a fool. Is that what I am to you? Just an idiot to be toyed with?”

“I saved you and your grandma... That was already me being a good person. Instead of being grateful, you kept scheming against me. You think I owe you?”

“I should’ve just left you both in that field.”

“And now you want me to raise your and Kellen’s children like it’s my own?”

“In your eyes, I’m just the biggest sucker in the world, aren’t I? Like I’m supposed to be your tool, find out all your secrets and pretend it doesn’t hurt, even carry someone else’s baby for you?”

“Did you really think I was so hopelessly in love with you that I’d just lose my mind and forget who I am?”

“Wake up, Jace!”

“We’re done. There’s nothing left between us but hate. That’s all I feel for you now.”

“Oh, and by the way, you can stop dreaming. Fate has a funny way of working things out. I never carried your and Kellen’s child to term.”

As soon as she said it, Wiona watched with a mix of relief and bitterness as Jace’s face crumbled, piece by piece.

He shook his head, backing away as if the truth physically hurt him.

Juice still dripping down his face, he looked utterly lost. All the hope had drained from his eyes.

His gaze dropped to Wiona’s stomach, his voice desperate. “No, that’s not true.”

“You’re carrying my babies. If it’s not mine, then whose are they? Whose could they possibly be?”

“Did the hospital do another round of IVF for us, without telling me? Wiona, are you saying they are actually ours?”

Before he could form another thought, a strong arm slid around Wiona’s waist from behind. A gentle hand rested over her stomach.

“Why are you letting this homeless guy bother you?” The voice was low, calm.

“Nikolai, give him some spare change.”

With that, Conrad let out a short, cold laugh, then turned away, leading Wiona by the hand toward the marriage office.

Jace could only scream after them, his voice breaking. “Wiona! Tell me the truth! What’s going on? Come back! Come back! You can’t marry him! You can’t marry someone else!”

“I’ll make the whole world hear about this. You’re so desperate to marry another man, just days after our divorce. Aren’t you scared people will call you a whore?”

Conrad stopped in his tracks. He looked back, his eyes sharp and cold, full of warning.

Jace froze, his words dying in his throat.

He stared at them, at their hands tightly clasped together. The memory of how Conrad had suddenly appeared, always by Wiona’s side, always protecting her, sent a sick suspicion crawling through his mind.

“You two… have you been together all along?”

“Wiona, are the babies you’re carrying his?”

“Tell me, Wiona!”

Conrad didn’t even bother with an answer. If Jace wanted to torture himself with suspicion, Conrad was happy to let him.

He nodded at Nikolai and Drake. “Teach him a lesson.”

“Make sure he thinks twice before he ever runs his mouth again.”
