Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 442

“Wiona, I need to prepare you for what might happen.” Madison’s voice was soft, almost trembling. “If Nikolai and Drake’s brains were affected, they could end up… well, not themselves anymore.”

Wiona stumbled back, her face draining of color. Nikolai and Drake had followed her here. If something happened to them because of her, she didn’t think she’d ever forgive herself.

Conrad pulled her into his arms, holding her steady. “It won’t come to that. Tristan’s here. He won’t let things get any worse.”

That helped. Wiona nodded, trying to calm her racing heart.

Annette, who had been leaning against the doorframe, heard Madison’s words and immediately thought of Sophie. She tried to stand, but her legs buckled under her and she collapsed to the floor, unable to get up again.

“Mom!” Wiona and Conrad rushed to her side, helping her up.

Annette looked at Wiona, tears spilling down her cheeks. “Wiona, if Sophie ends up with permanent damage, or… or become dumb, it’ll be my fault!”

The room went completely silent. The Simpsons, standing off to the side, exchanged glances. None of this was their problem. This was the Sullivan family’s drama. They weren’t about to take the blame for this mess this time. And Sophie was the one who stirred up trouble and dragged them into it. Even if she wouldn’t admit it and there was no solid proof, everyone knew she was the one behind it all. Now, the Simpsons were just watching, a little pleased to see things turn out this way.

“Let’s get them to the hospital,” Conrad said, his tone firm. “If alternative medicine can’t help, maybe modern medicine can. Technology might give us a chance.” He glanced at Peter. “Get Dr. Rodman ready. Take Nikolai and Drake to the car right now.”

Conrad stayed calm, gave his orders, and moved to leave. But before Tristan could say a word, someone else spoke up from outside.

“I wouldn’t be so sure that modern medicine is any better than what we can do.”

Everyone turned, startled. Somehow, no one had noticed four young men standing in the shadows of the courtyard. Each one was strikingly handsome, their presence so commanding it almost didn’t seem real. They looked like they’d stepped straight out of a romance novel, their features and posture perfect, their auras magnetic. The four of them together were like a boy band from a dream—impossible to look away from.

Conrad’s expression hardened. “You know, staring at us like that is kind of rude.”

One of the Blue brothers called Ryan gave a quick, easy smile. “Sorry about that. Honestly, you’re all so good-looking, it’s hard not to stare.”

Wiona didn’t know what to say to that. They were blunt, she’d give them that. Still, she found herself glancing at them too. There was something about their energy that was impossible to ignore.

Conrad tightened his hold on her, his eyes growing cold as he looked at the guys. He didn’t know why, but something about them rubbed him the wrong way. “We’ve got no time to waste. We’re leaving.”

He started to lead Wiona away, but the four Blue brothers quickly stepped in front of them, blocking their path.

The guy called Donald raised his eyebrows. “Mr. Sullivan, right? We weren’t just talking big before. When it comes to cases like this, modern medicine isn’t going to help you. Especially with poisoning. If you take them to the hospital, you’re only going to hear that the damage is permanent. The longer you wait, the more likely your guys end up with serious brain damage. Why not leave them here, let us try? Even if the Simpsons couldn’t fix it, that doesn’t mean we can’t. There’s never been a poison our family couldn’t handle.”
