"Perfect timing, I was just looking for you."
"I was going to wait a few days before telling you, but since you’re already here, you might as well know now. We found her. We found Jewel."
Wiona’s eyes lit up. "Are you serious?"
She told the driver to head straight to the Simpson estate. Today she was traveling with two cars. Tim and Jim were with her, and she’d brought four more bodyguards along. Molly stayed right by her side. After what happened last time at the Simpson house, Conrad had set strict rules for her outings. She wasn’t allowed to leave the manor unless she had at least four bodyguards with her. Since Alice was coming along today, security added three more people. There was no way to keep a low profile anymore.
But with her belly getting bigger every day, Wiona didn’t want to take any chances and just went along with it.
As soon as the Sullivan family cars arrived at the Simpson gate, Giana got the news.
"What? She’s here again?"
Giana was honestly tired of getting mixed up with the Sullivan family. The internet had been buzzing these past few days with stories about Wiona and her history with the Salisbury family. That’s when Giana finally realized she’d been wrong about her. She’d listened to Sophie’s gossip and assumed Wiona was some shallow, gold-digging heiress who was all looks and no substance. Those stupid assumptions had nearly dragged the Simpson family into disaster.
If her father hadn’t stepped in, if the family hadn’t reacted quickly, and if Wiona herself hadn’t been so forgiving, Conrad might not have let them off the hook so easily. Just thinking about it made Giana shudder.
So when she heard Wiona was back, she hurried to the gate.
She barely had time to fix a smile when Madison came running out ahead of her.
"Wiona!" Madison called, throwing her arms around Wiona’s growing belly. "It’s only been a few days and you look even more pregnant."
Wiona grinned. "Aren’t you the doctor here? You should know this is prime baby-growing time."
